Hey im 21 years old. I decided on a change and have always wanted to grow my hair out to about shoulder length, and then see how it goes from there. I decided to grow it becuase I think it looks cool on John Lennon, I have grown it from the begining of this year from a grade 2 shave and the fringe is just past my eyebrows, the sides are just past my ears and the back about collar length. just a quick question aswelll though, do I need ocassional trims, or should I just grow it out until my desired length first? cheers
If you keep getting it trimmed while trying to grow it longer, you'll just prolong the time it takes to reach your goal. Actually your best bet is to get a bit past your goal length, and then trim it back a bit. Then your ends will be fresh and neat.
Happy growing,
Frodo
I trim mine about once a year, but you could probably go a year & a half or almost two and be ok. I was friends with this girl who let it grow two years to get back to her desired length. It sure works to just not cut it.
Scissors are bad for growing hair - grow it until you get to your desired length.
