I'm just wondering if all of you have the hair just below the ear (where side burns start afterwards) cut short, because when ever I tuck my hair behind my ears, I always get those hairs that end up looking like static hairs. I see people like Joseph Gordon Levitt (Guy who played Tommy Solomon on 3rd Rock From the Sun) when he had long hair tuck all his hair behind his ears with ease, and I'm wondering it's easier with length or whether you have it cut short there?
I have that problem, too. Especially when I haven't brushed it in awhile. I've never done anything about it, except wait for my hair to grow, so I can't suggest anything that I KNOW will work. If you're into goo, mousse or gel might do the trick, or you could try a hairpin if you're secure enough in your masculinity (I for one, am not that secure). Right now, my bangs are about 1/4 inch from the knot in my tail, and as it has grown, the "static hairs" as you call them have just gotten longer. Sorry.

I tried putting them specifically behind my ears today, while letting the rest of my hair dry and it seems to keep them there, hence avoiding the static problems.
