Hi all,
Please excuse me if this is the wrong forum. I am 24 and I have started balding fast. Very fast. In the last 3 months, my hair has thinned out horribly in the front and I have just a few wisps of hair left now. This is especially disappointing as I had just started growing out my hair from the usual military style cut I had maintained all my life. Any suggestions as to what I can do?
Thanks.
I think the topic http://www.the-light.com/mens/messages/27188.html would be helpful, as I can't help on my own and there seems to be some really good advice there :).
hi
I also started to loose my hair at the same age. I did try all the ointments and pills and yes they do grow very fine hair and help stop the loss. I found that it was still not what I was looking for. I like hair and was not happy about being bald, it just bothered me. I do not think that its for everyone but I chose to get a hair piece. I am glad I did, I got my first one at 27 and have been wearing them ever since. I can get them as long as I want. I get a new one ever 8-12 months and it looks great. I you are interested e-mail me and I'll tell ya more.

Go to a doctor. Male pattern baldness is not supposed to happen
that fast. There probably is something wrong with you. I am not
a medical professional but it sounds like either alopecia areata
(no treatment, but hair might grow back all by itself) or a very
fucked-up thyroid (in which case the problem is usually fixable
by medication).
Grrr
Yes, go to a doctor as soon as possible.
Sudden significant hairloss is not typical of male pattern baldness. It usually takes years for significant loss to occur, thought that period may be just a few years.
You may have a serious condition, drug reaction, or other problem, though those are rare events.
If you are diagnosed with androgenic alopecia (medical term for male pattern baldness), ask about minoxidil 5% and Propecia (finasteride). Both work well in a young person such as yourself.
