So I am headed in a few days to a Black Tie Affair, Three Piece Suit and all. It is a Post-Wedding Reception/Ball Room Dancing with Dinner.
What possible hair style can I use that will look very stunning/handsome? I would like to try a hair style without a ponytail if possible. So what options do I have?
Please add some photo or link to examples so I can get a very good idea of what you mean.. :)

You could try a single braid, centered in the back. It provides the dignified look of having your hair pulled back while also showing you took extra time for the event.
Sounds interesting... But My hair is couple of inches below shoulder and not sure if it is braidable at this point.
I was also thinking if there are any styles of hair for men with long hair that is stunning/attractive/jaw dropping/etc that is with hair down and flowing, of course within confines of a black tie affair... :)
My best friend got married, I was suppose to be in the wedding party but could not make it since it was out at Lake Tahoe in CA. Anyway, since he is from Maryland alot of people he invited could not make it to the wedding. So he has a Post-Wedding Reception Dinner with Ballroom Dance..
Funny thing is that most of the people who are attending I have not seen in over 5 years. These people are more of a severe fundamentalist belief and I want to do a Shock and Awe tactic that is dazzling, stunning, and jaw dropping hair style that is elegant and would go perfectly with a three-piece suit that will leave them befuddled and speechless.
Any Ideas?

How about a simple yet neat Bun.?
Even though its a form of pony tail the last tuxedo event
(wedding) I attended I had my hair braided which I thought
went well with the overall look.
I'll have to chime in with a "me, too" bit. The single braid went well with a tux when I was part of my son's wedding a couple of years ago.

I agree with the others. My wife, who is not a fan of long hair, perfers my hair braided to loose or a simple ponytail.
I'm pretty proficient at the task and in fact it comes out better than when my wife does it. (truth is she pulls it too tight). If you're not good at it though, it could look like crap. Best to let someone else do it up for you.
I think our member Jason, who just married, had a braid for the ceromony. A link to his pictures are in his post further down the main page. (I have not attended formal events recently)
Good luck,
Bruce
Depends on your hair.
If you know someone who is good at braids and braid variations, have them play with it and see if you find one that is particularly flattering.
Also, depends on the length, type and thickness of your hair...
Ones I have seen that looked really good were, french braids, single or double rope braids, herringbone braids.
I'll go for down if I want to impress...but then, at thigh length, the length will distract most people.
Heh! Or a simple bun...and when someone asks how long it is, you pull the stick(s) out and show 'em! Then put it back up...impressive in it's own way!
But the most important thing is to choose a style that YOU are comfortable with. So much of long hair success in unfavorable environments is how you carry yourself and essentially don't back down mentally in the face of criticism.
