I have about shoulder-length wavy hair.
Every morning, I wake up and my hair is a mess. I shower, soaking all of my hair, shampooing about every 3 days, and using conditioner about the same amount (I believe my conditioner is some Pantene kind, while the shampoo is just a basic brand). Next, I lightly towel dry, so it's not dripping. I then use a blow dryer and quickly just move it along my hair, drying it, but still keeping it a bit wet. After this, I shake my hair to get rid of a bit of the extra moister. After all of this, it's usually just a bit damp, with it being a bit more damp in the back compared to the sides and on the top. I then use a hair brush and pull it all down.
I notice that once and awhile I'll get a few curls that seem to stick out from the rest of my hair. With these I usually just curl them in the opposite direction and tuck them under. This gets rid of them sometimes, if my hair is damp.
Also, my hair seems to get more curly and dry near the end, but I don't know what to do about this.
If you have any suggestions on how to better my routine, your help is appreciated. I guess what I'm going for is a bit of a sleak looking 70's styled look.
Thanks!
So you want really straight hair? Combing helps. So does growing out your hair even longer. But for a quick fix either use a very light hair paste or apply leave in conditioner to give your hair some weight which will straighten out the curls. GL!

I guess I'm going for something more along the lines of Ozzy's hair (the guy in front), but I'm more worried about the dryness that seems to be at the bottom. Is there anything that I'm doing in my routine that I just shouldn't be doing in general?
Try using less shampoo and more conditioner. I only use about a quarter size amount of shampoo, but a ton of conditioner. It seems to work well.
