Since I started growing my hair it's always been significantly shorter in the front than in the back, and has always been quite annoying. I wanted to wait until the front had reached a good length until I trimmed it to even it out, and it's finally reached that!
So now I've taken a step towards having the hair even all around, and I'm very happy with the results. The slight loss of length was definitely a good compromise. It's still not quite even, maybe 3/4 inch difference, but it's getting closer and I'll do another trim in a few months.
If anyone else has had issues with hair evenness, as I did, I recommend just waiting until you're comfortable with the change in length and then you should be happy with the results.

Sounds great...perhaps you can post an update picture :-)

Hi Charlie M,
Personally my advice is to give your hair a chance and just let it grow for at least a year or two before getting all scissor happy at such an early stage.Certainly by just letting your hair grow out it will get longer faster:)A pic would be nice just to see how your hair looks btw.

Hi Mark,
I have posted a few times here before, but you probably don't remember. My hair after the trim is about 1/3 of the way down my back, after 2.5 years, and before that it was just a couple inches longer. So I'm not in the early stages anymore :) I'll get a pic posted up later.
Hi Charlie M,
Well my memory isn't always the greatest so I'm sorry about not remembering you from posting before. However I'll still look forward to seeing your pic and hair flowing down your back:)Cheers
Mark
