Hi im new to the board. I kinda stumbled across it. been growing my hair out for about 8 months.. Just looking for comments on it and tips. currently its in the awkward stage as its in my eyes and i have to part it. some ask what was my decision to grow it out i just wanted to switch the look up a little bit and see how it looked
Welcome and so glad you found us. You have made great progress for 8 months and all is looking quite well. Plenty of growing out tips here and suggestions from members.
For now, perhaps take a look in the "links" section and be sure to read the 4 part thesis of Bill Choisser among other things. This will arm you with plenty of knowledge as well as know what to expect along the way.
Again, welcome to the MLHH! :-)
Justin~
Welcome: you are making good progress and the look suits you.
What length did you start from?
the lenght i started from was normally i get my hair cut to about two inches so its normally pretty short. as it started to grow and grow i figure id grow it out for a year at least
Hey, welcome to the board AR15!Hmm,interesting handle:)You look great with the longer hair and I bet much better than when you started figuring you maintained it short. So I know you just started growing your hair but have you thought of how long you want it?You know, your goal or are you just winging it for now?Hopefully you will stay a longhair for the long haul because it's just better:)Cheers my friend....
Mark
originally i was just going to grow it out for a year. Now as its starting to look better im actually starting to like it. right now im definately just winging it but i will cut it until i have reached a year. who knows maybe ill keep it for 2 or 3 yrs
Welcome to the board! looks good so far, do you have a goal length?
Nice user name by the way, but I am an AK guy myself ;)
dont really have a goal lenght but long enough to put it in a pony tail. sort of just winging it as of now seeing how this is the longest i have ever grown it
Ar15,
Looks good. A ball cap or bandanna might help you through the awkward stage. Keep it growing and flowing.
peace, jonalbear.
Your hair is looking great and it seems to be at about the same length as mine, where's it's a daily fight to keep it out of my face if there's any kind of breeze. The best solution I've found is to use a couple spring loaded "snap clips" to keep my hair locked behind my ears for those times when it must be out of my face.
You've got a good start and good hair I suspect your awkward stage will be not as bad.
Welcome to the group.
Kevin
Looks like its growing well. Congrats on 8 months!
Welcome to the board. You have a great start already. The next 8-12 months will be the hardest, but if you can manage through, then you've made it. Congrats on making the decision for longhairdom.
Peace. Tristan
Hi Ar15,
Welcome to our community on the web here.
Your off to a good start and the hair is looking great and I don't think you should have any problems as it gets longer.
Keep in growing and keep us updated.

John.B
