Hi all
Hi all-
I have just posted a colorization video of some of the great composers (1849-1950). Suddenly I find it of great interest that long hair to them would be considered by us at this board Awkward Stage, a little past, or not at all. (No Buzz cuts however.) And BEARDS! Very much in style.
Of course, the Native Americans were different as were some others and truly had wonderful very long hair.
What is your bet that the astounding long hair we have seen on this board in the past, now, and every now and then in real life is something that has sprung-up since the 70's? Hair care now is so much different than in those days of old, and conditioner must surely extend the strength and help the hair to grow to the long lengths.
I rather think the guys of today are a whole new breed.
Take care all.

Look at some of the paintings of Europeans and others from the 15 and 1600s. Some of them had hair past their sholders. Also, the ancient Irish and viking men had hair to their waist, as did other cultures. I don't think it's new. I see it as a natural attribute of out species. The Chinese, Japanese, Sikh Hindus, all have long histories of very long haired men. 150 years is only a small sliver to me.
I've noticed pictures of kings from 500 years ago that have very long hair, looking completely untrimmed long all around
if it was fit for kings then nobody should question it for men any time
