Hello. I've had my hair long for about 4 yrs. What can I use to get my ponytail to not be so bushy? I'm open to using some type of oil or grease. Something so it will look more like it does when it's damp, and weigh it down.

Greetings, JRG. Jojoba oil may help to tame the frizzing and bushiness.
A grease free way to tame it down is to use multiple hair ties on your ponytail. For bushy hair, place one every 2 to 3 inches.
I included a photo for an example. (Mine is far less bushy and frizzy than yours is, so 4 inch intervals work well for me.)

Hey Scott,
That's good advice (and another great picture of your hair), but I think you also deserve congratulations for some significant physique development! Hopefully it inspires some of your fellow longhairs to grow healthier as well as hairier.

Scott has it right here. My hair is about as bushy as yours but I put in hair ties every 2 to 3 inches to keep it tamed. I usually will put my hair up when it's still wet and after it's had time to thoughroly dry I can take out all but one of the hair ties and my hair will hang down as if I just had slightly wavy hair. Works wonders.

Wow. Is that EVER spectacular long hair. If it were myself, I would be VERY HAPPY with it just the way it is. Sensational!
Sorry, I don't have an answer, but "LongHairLuke" from Germany gives some helpful long hair tips for your type hair and you might(?) find this video of his helpful.
All the best-

Hi JRG,
Actually, I think your bushy ponytail is awesome, and really shows off your hair's outstanding thickness. If you wish to restrain it more to keep it neater, I think Scott's suggestion is the best one of all, using multiple ties, and it also does away with putting too much product in your hair.
Keep it growing,
David
Try washing your hair less often. and rinsing your hair with cold water. these two methods will help preserve your hairs natural oils which do wonders for poofy hair.
We have the same hair.
The ANSWER that will change your life is to apply Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine to your wet hair after towel drying. With your hair length, about 8 pumps in your hand, work in back and gradually to the top of your head. Run a wide tooth comb through your damp hair after applying, and your hair will dry to an awesome look.
I recently discovered this product as well since my hair is very thick and wavy! It's def changed my hair and I love it and use it everyday now! :) Very good product indeed!
