man these things are annoying, there in my eyes and when i close them there are a few that stay in there and and itch, how you think it would look if i just cutt the bangs above my eyes and let everything else grow long. Im constantly shaking my head to get them out of my eyes and i cant see when there in my eyes. Also gel dont work on keeping them out, also i read alot and when i look down at the book they block me from reading. I HATE BANGS
If you hate bangs, then grow them so that you don't have to deal with them later on. If you cut them above eye level, you'll look like a total chick, man.
Try a hat or headband or hair pins until your bangs are long enough to
tie back in a ponytail. Don't cut man!
I have bangs. Just work with a stylist to feather the top a bit and you won't look like a dork.

Most replies here are going to tell you not to cut them. That's good advice coming from someone who likes long bange *TO* someone who likes long bangs. You don't seem to fit that category.
Bangs cut above the eyes doesn't automatically look bad. Not that long ago, that was the prevalent longish hair style, and (properly cared for) looked great. Actually, the phrase "properly cared for" applies to all long styles.
It's your hair. If you don't like long bangs, don't wear them. I'd suggest that you do a little research to see what you think you'd like. Then wait 2 weeks to see if you still want it. If you do, then go to a stylist you can trust and tell him what you want and watch closely while he does it. Remember, it's only hair. You can always decide to grow them longer (or cut them shorter) later. The fate of the world doesn't ride on this decision. The main thing is that *YOU* should like it.
actually i love long bangs but mine are at the point where there in my eyes and it drives me crazy
Just let them grow the rest of the way,You can use bandana or
hat to keep them out of your face.Or just braid the to the side.
If you cut them above your eyebrows it'll get boring looking after
a while.Best let them grow...
I've thought of cutting my bangs, but I'm afraid of an '88 Bon Jovi look.
I originally wanted a WWF Ultimate Warrior cut, or maybe a Dan Spitz of Anthrax style(I don't want that now) but never really had that. I just let the front go.
