As of this morning. My hair is growing and is now slightly below my shoulders in back and on the rear sides. Seems to be all about curling at the ends. it will get past it. but. Oh. How I "long" for the wonderful manes y'all sport. I am flipping it over my ears to hold it back while at work. Can gather it into the shortest of tails, but, it is really not ready, yet. Geetin' some nice props, even from those who earlier tried to talk me out of letting it grow, However, my older sister, bless her heart, Literally demanded I cut it. (She was so cute.) Of course, I muled right up and said, "Ain't gonna happen". She relented. I am never happy with how I look in pics, but, whatta ya gonna do.
Hi Jason,
You are doing very well, and I am glad that you are continuing your journey and hanging in there. Cheers to you in not listening to your sister!
Keep it growing,
David
Good job for putting your foot down like that. Props to you man! I'm in the same boat dude, coming along there.
I couldn't help but notice your car collection in the background. Those look beautiful and well kept! I see a few Stangs and Impalas in there?
The pic is taken in my home office, which we call "the garage" because my fairly large collection of Automobilia is kept there. Some of those models have been with me since I was a kid, including a 1960 Thunderbird promo I got for Christmas in 1960 and the 1st model car I built. a 1962 Dodge Dart. Have a number of them from the 60s, they survived in a trunk in my parents garage after I moved out, in 1970. Got back into collecting such items as kits, diecasts and brochures, artwork, etc. when I started collecting the real thing in the early 90s. Had 11 full size cars at one time, now am down to a manageable 6. I have been a gearhead my whole life. Even as a longhaired hippie in the late 60s, I had cool cars, a 1964 Cutlass and a 1968 Cougar XR7. Just part of who I am. Any other longhair motorheads here?
Hi Jason,
Your hair looks great so far and thankfully you weren't convinced to cut it short again.Sometimes you just have to stand your ground for what you believe in.In your case it is having a long mane.So have you been thinking of any goal length yet?I know you are just starting out so maybe you haven't thought about that yet.
As for cars I like them too.I enjoy going to car shows when I get the chance both old and new:)It's cool watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions especially from Scottsdale. Its amazing the prices those cars pull!
Anyway good luck with your hair and keep us posted.Cheers
Mark
No one particular goal as to length, I want mid back at least, but will move on from there and perhaps strive for terminal length. Barret-Jackson is a huge event here. Used to go every year. it has gotten stratospherically pricey. Some of the body work and paint jobs are amazing, and that's just the trophy wives attending. The cars can be amazing.
My meager collection are just drivers, they show well, but are definitely not high end auction material.
Hi Jason,
Your hair is lookin' good there, and although hair grows very very slowly, just keep in mind that it is indeed growing even as we speak!
Re. your sister's comment, isn't it nice to know that since this is your own hair on your own head, that YOU are the one with all the power in this situation? She can "demand" all she wants; but that would be like me demanding that she give me a million dollars (and hey, I could really use a million $ right now; so I expect her to cough it up or pick it off the money tree - LOL)....
Thanks also for your kind comments to my thread below.

Nobody ever likes pictures of themselves, it's some kind of rule, LOL.
Keep it up, you've got a great start going.
Used to do a lot of model-building myself, back in the day, a mix of cars and aircraft. Still have a bunch of kits I've been packing along for the last 20+ years, in the hopes that someday I'll get around to setting up a workbench and get back in the construction business.

actually, you have a good look going right there at that length, it's making me debate whether I should cut mine back to a mid level again
Why not post a picture and we can see for ourselves :-)
