Has anyone had any feed back about being a long haired individual and applying for a Nexus trusted traveller card for crossing the USA and Canada borders?
We all know the world is full of bigots of all persuasions so just curious if anyone has had any experience with this.
Thanks for any input....
Hi Nexus,
I apologize for no feedback about the travel thing, since my only travel has been to the USA (no problems), but I will give you feedback about your fabulous mane, with such thick white waves. Good luck, and I hope someone else will stop on by to give you the advice that you are looking for.
Good luck!
David
Thanks David
I appreciate the comments about my hair and I am sure I will get feedback about the border.
I was noticing your hair almost to your waist, that is awesome. My hair is so thick and curly it will have grow much more to reach my waist. Your hair is sleek so much easier to work with.
Thanks for the reply and keep growing.
By for now.

Hi again, Onslow,
Thank you for your encouraging words about my update! Although my hair does grow very slowly, and has taken me over 6 years to get there (with one or two minor trims), at least it is still growing slowly.
I apologize for not thoroughly understanding your thread question earlier, and thought it had pertained to international travel. I realized, upon re-reading it, that you meant US/Canadian travel. I am Canadian, have travelled to the USA several times, and have never been hassled about my hair by the border officials of either country.
Thank you again,
David
Hi there,
That's an amazing head of hair and beard you have there and great colour to.
I've been across several of the border crossings between USA and Canada and I've not had any issues with longhair. The worst crossing seems to be one between Detriot and Windsor. But then again being a Brit I get the the added aggrivation to to be an "alien" the can't see to cope with people from the planet of "cream cheese". Oh well our immigration can be just as bad and they call it the "special relationship" yeah right!
Cheers,
John.B
Well, George W. Bush and Tony Blair certainly had/have a "special" relationship alright! One of a groveling lap dog with its owner.
Hopefully all future leaders of Britain won't stoop to such craven behavior.
Well that's world president elect Blair for you or whibbly whobbly Bush for you!
Mr Cameron is certainly no lap dog and he's already worry Hilary with the big cuts in our defence spending.
I had to do a double take on 'big cuts' there John. I know how passionate you can get at times :P
Fantastic hair and beard, Onslow.
Oh yes I can sometimes! Thanks for the comment :-)
Cheers,
John.B
Mr. Cameron is to be heartily applauded!! Hillary is extremely pro-war and it's very gratifying that someone is standing up to her.
Hello John.B
Thanks for the reply and I must say your head of hair looks like it would be as hard to tame as mine, really thick and abundant!!... Your still too young for the white, just distingusing silver...
Glad to hear no issue with hair at the border. It has been a long time since I crossed so thus the query. Apprently we are all 'aliens' when it comes to the border now. I live on the West Coast BC Canada so maybe the tree hugger image will work for me, ha ha.
Take care
Onslow
I have crossed the border several times with long hair and have not experienced any problems.
That's some fantastic hair you're sporting!
Hi Onslow!Awesome looking hair you have there:)Definately a mane to be proud of.
As for your question I can honestly say the few times I've crossed into Canada I've never even given my hair a thought of being some sort of problem. They always ask the usual questions but never threw me in the slammer for being a longhaired freak!LOL.I thought anything goes in Canada anyway:)Cheers
Mark
Onslow, Wonderful white waves and curls!
Awesome beard and 'stache as well!
peace, jonalbear
Hey great hair! how long have you been growing it?
Thanks very much. I had a major cut in July 2007 so just over 3 years.
Not sure on the travel card. But I can say that is one very fine looking head of hair and beard you sport in the photo.
Don't have any experience with becoming a Nexus Trusted Traveller, but I really like the way your hair and beard look. I hope that my hair looks that way when I'm older. I can't imagine you'd have any trouble based on your hair, it looks very nice and well kept.
Welcome Onslow! Great looking hair and bread!
I have no advice about the borders but would suspect there would be no problems.
