Hey, this is my second time trying to grow my hair out and first time that I'm REALLY serious about it. This pic is of me and my twin brother who is also growing his out. we both cut our hair almost completely all off in the middle of february so this pic is about 7 months growth. I feel like now that I am in college it will be easier to grow it out. Our goal for now is shoulder length but I do hope for it to get even longer than that. Any tips anyone has for helping it grow at a good steady rate would be great. Thanks!
There's really only one way to make it grow... don't cut it. The rate at which it grows is largely pre-determined by individual genetics. Other than that there is the matter of taking care of it, but that's a separate issue from getting it to grow in the first place.

Honestly, the best advice that you'll need when growing out your hair is contained in Bill Choisser's spot-on essay "On Being a Longhair"

No doubt nearly all of your questions will be answering by reading it. If you still have some, though, that's what we're here for!

Don't cut, trim or take advice from anyone that says cutting will speed growth. Wrong. - either of you! That's the best advice
There is advice on this Board: Go to 'Links' and read the very first one.

Welcome to MLHH. You both have straight hair which should be easy to grow vwry long. The best advice is to not cut it. Just let it grow.
Going to a center part will be helpful. Longer hair will lay better if cented parted.
I see side parts now, one on the right and one on the left. Mirror twins perhaps?
In true mirror twins, placement of internal organs is reversed in one twin. The heart will be in the RIGHT side of the chest and the liver in the LEFT upper abdomen.
