In the mid 90s I remember watching a TV comedy which featured an old guy and his daughters, and the 17-year old boy friend of one of the daughters. The b/f had (in the program) lovely waist length hair. The problem is, I can't for the life of me recollect the name of the program. All I remember is that the father seems to get easily upset by the antics of his daughters and b/f. Another character in the show, as I remember, was the father's partner, who used to keep muttering "Hm! Heterosexuals" whenever someone did something silly.
Was this a British comedy?
I believe the actor's name is Cleto Augusto. I remember him from the first episode of Frazier. He played the guy who brought in Martin's ugly recliner. He was also on a show (I think the one you're referring to) where he played the friend of two girls (sisters?). I think the show was only on for a few episodes. The guy had the most magnificent waist-length silky hair. I haven't found anything about him on the internet, although that's how I learned his name, from the Frazier line-up. He obviously cut his hair at some time, because he's also listed as the same character that came to pick up Martin's chair in the final episode, and he had (sob, sob) short hair then.
Sob sob indeed!!! I felt the same when I saw the Brit Com "And mother makes five". In the first series "And mother makes three" the two sons had lovely shoulder length hair, but in the sequel they both sported short cuts.
That's TV for you!
My bad. I goofed. The guy with the long hair is Phil Buckman. He played in the episode of Fraser as the guy who brought Martin's chair back after Fraser had it repaired. You can see videos of him (and his magnificent hair) in Fraser and Married with Children at the site below. And I think the name of the show you're referring to is Drexell's class. Alas, he has cut his magnificent mane.
Phil Buckman
I think it was a "Married With Children"-like comedy starring Dabny Coleman, the boyfriend was named something like 'Slash'.
