Just came across this site the other day and wanted to post since I am definitely one of you. Interestingly though, I didnt really intend to be a longhair at any point. I always had shaggy/moppy haircuts and about 3 and a half years ago when I started graduate school I just got too busy to think about my hair. Several months later my girlfriend was goofing around and said she I thought I could put my hair in a ponytail. I laughed and let her have a go, and surprisingly a lot of if fit, though good chunks up front were still too short. I decided then i wanted to grow it out long enough to be able to have a really ponytail at least to be able to say that i had at one time. Luckily it only took a couple months for my bangs to make it. Once I had it though i liked it so much that i kept growing and dont plan to ever go short again. Here is a pick like a usually wear it. Dont like it loose muc, plus in my lab thats not the best idea.

Hair looks really nice. It looks really thick, which seems to be rare for someone with blonde hair. Do you plan on growing it any longer, or just maintaining this length?

What a truly awesome ponytail, and your hair looks so thick and healthy here. With your thick and straight hair (the easiest type to grow super long, you should be able to grow it a lot longer if you wish, and I hope you do so. Do you have any particular goal in mind?

Thanks for all of the compliments they mean a lot since long hair on guys is not common in my field.
In regards to the length I will probably keep it about this length or a tad shorter for practical purposes. The longer it gets the more work it is to care for if i want it looking good, plus i just like how it looks at this length. I am the definition of "ponytail guy" which means that now as it gets longer even tied back how i like it it gets in the way sometimes. My girlfriend will have a say too, but it is my hair. She has been very helpful in all of this and helps take care of it which is probably why it looks as good as it does.

I think your hair looks great, whatever you've been doing so far you should keep doing, including following your girlfriend's advice. Length isn't everything to me either, I've kept my hair at about the same length as yours for almost 4 years. Why? Because I like the way it looks, we don't all have to have hair passed our butt do we?
