Hey guys
To watch this newly created video fills me with a sense of nostalgia as to what was lost. The 2nd to the last (stock?) photo shows my hair at its all time longest before the Salon Demolishment. Looks as if terminal was still a long way off.
Coupled with images of some of the beautiful places I love here in the Pacific Northwest, it is ever so apparent that Natures gift of Long Hair to both Men and Women was meant to be. In complete harmony with the "natural" and the beauty of this planet on which we live.
Wishing you all well and hope you are enjoying this long weekend.

Hi Justin,
Thank you for sharing this beautifully done video, and the lovely music suits it perfectly.(such beautiful background settings too) Of course, you had the most outstanding and inspirational mane, and you know how sorry I am to know about what has happened over the past couple of years, and what you have gone through with your health and that salon episode. Who knows, you might grow it long once again some day, since you still have a good full head of hair.
Take care,
David
Well said David as Justin did a fine job putting this movie together. It certainly
brought back memories of Justin's magnificent mane for sure. Also the image of
himself with our friend Walter was nice to see:)On a side note I hope Walter is
doing well out in that dangerous land.I wish both Walter and Justin well. Thanks
Justin for posting that cool video my friend.Cheers
Mark
Hey Justin, sorry to hear you cut your mane, what a great vid though! Since when did you get such a dab hand with youtubing? :D
Are you planning to recreate these memories by growing long again ?
Hi Sorted
Yeah, was really forced to cut, and since have been trying various shorter hairstyles. Now letting it all grow non-stop to get back to the most longish style that I liked the best. Don't have enough time to wait this time around to get back to what I had before. (Oh, the joys of being an "elder.") LOL
Justin~
Really, no great hand here with the computor, just enough to accomplish a few simple tasks to be able to post on You Tube
Justin. I have enjoyed all your videos including this latest. I am not privy to what is happening in your life, of a more private nature, but I must say, in all innocence. that you have as much time as you need. You are certinly not as much an "elder" as me. certainly not older. I for one have plans to let my hair grow throughout what is left of my life, and I have no plans to leave any time soon.
Hi and thank you for writing this. Yikes.......so many videos I have done about long hair, and in the most crazy way. (Over 25 I think.) LOL Perhaps you missed the ones explaining what happened? Glad you are going on with long hair for the rest if your life. I was planning the same not really all that long ago. Take care and wishing you a great day today.
Justin~
Hi Mark and thank you my friend. I look at those photos now and cannot believe that my hair was once THAT good. Funny how when one has it, they don't really pay all that much attention to the achievement.........and when lost realized what had been taken from them through no fault of their own.
Yes, I wonder about Walter as well and will try and see if I can get an email through to him and include this video. Walter is such a great person, has the funniest sense of humor and yet so intelligent you wouldn't believe! The photo of Walter and myself was taken at Cannon Beach in Jan. of 2008........or was it 09? In any event, it was the first time I met him and we had such a nice lunch in a "Log Cabin" of all places right in that neat little town next to the beach.
Justin~
Take care

Hey David
Glad you liked my little home-made montage. Actually if the truth be known, it is the photos taken of nature that I would think would make this video the most interesting to anyone that happens to come across it.
With all best wishes-
Justin~
ps: Hope you can yet get in another round of golf, and perhaps bowling before relaxing and enjoying your retirement. :-)
Well when I watched it, I liked seeing the pictures of your hair, however, I was also reminded greatly of Canada's western coast as well. It would be nice to once again live out that way :)
Ah the memories :-)
Yes, the memories John. Making this vid brought alot back and really too bad the way in which the hair was lost. Oh well, life goes on. You and Kevin were the very last to see my hair at an extremly long length, though by then so very thinned-out and driving me nuts with snags and tangles non-stop every minute of the day.
Take care and I hope all is well with you way over on the other side of the pond. :-)
Justin~
Damn! Those evil salons.
But Kevin really:
Much too kind a comment for them. OMG.......if ONLY you could hear what I am saying inside my head! :-0
Hope all has been well with you since I "retired" and have been relaxing aboard the SS Cruise Ship White Star Line. LOL
Justin~
.if ONLY you could hear what I am saying inside my head! :-0
Inside your head? I'm sure many an interesting conversation.
Indeed so. But I dare not put a single one into writing. LOL :-)
Sorry that had to happen to you.
Don't let it beat ya. Grow it back out!
Have fun on that cruise.
It IS growing back actually very nicely after all of the experiments I have done. And of the cruise, what can I say other than at least it is the safest way to travel with a 100% guarantee that the boat cannot possibly sink no matter what. Liverpool is the next stop.
All the best-
Justin~
Nice montage of images Justin!
I enjoyed those ones of you at Multnomah Falls - I was there in the summer of 2008. I was on that very same overlook at the top of the falls.
- Oren
Hi Oren
Glad you enjoyed it. Hey, I seem to remember that those photos at the falls dated from August of 2008 as they couldn't have been 2009 when I was in the hospital. Perhaps you were there that same day in August? It was very hot.
That look-out was rebuilt from the original platform years ago which gave a better view downward, but was about to fall apart and someone would get a free ride 650' down! LOL :-)
Next time up there, I would like to explore the trail that leads higher up and must end somewhere way up Mt. Hood. (I will stop at the snowline however.)
Take care-
Justin~
Justin,
I was in the area August 10,11,12 - would have to have been one of those days.
It would have been a blast to meet you there!
- Oren
Hi Justin!
Your new video almost made me cry... It was great to see it and the music was so very beautyfull.
Does it mean you're growing your hair back? You sure were far from terminal, it was wonderfull.
Thank's for sharing all those pictures, the views were magnificent. Hope all's well with you and your family =)
Stay well!
João David
Hey Joao! :-)
As always, the true gentleman and speaking from the heart. Thank you ever so much for the very kind words. Much appreciated.
Yes, I am growing my hair back, but it will never be this long again. :-( I just don't have enough time now. But, I will be sure to post a photo and of course anyone who checks my You Tube channel will see what is going on in the future.
Great hearing from you and wishing you the best always. Take care-
Justin~
ps: This photo was the very last photo taken of my hair less than a week before the Salon demolished it, and to think, all I asked was for them to wash it.......nothing else. Couldn't even get that right and ripped it to shreds! I never went for any "trims" and did it all myself. The natural v shape seen earlier in the video is diminished and assumes a very nice natural curve as seen in this final photo of my hair at its longest.
I think you will have plenty of time =) Thank you for your reply and kind words. I wish you the best as well ^^
João David
Nice images on your video, Justin -- interesting to combine long hair pics with pics of the spectacular Oregon scenery!
Hope all is well with you, and that your hair re-growth experience is a successful and happy one!!
"Onward & Downward!"
- Ken
Hey Ken! :-)
Thank you and yes, the scenery is gorgeous. And did it EVER save the day for that video. I mean really, what would it have been like without a waterfall? LOL
Yes.......onward and downward is the name of the game and all is doing very nicely.
All the best and hope you will have a great holiday season!
Justin~
