Your hair looks fantastic, David. The difference in 8 months is striking. You have gained a lot of length. Building (or growing) the perfect mane takes patience as does building the perfect body. What is your goal length? I would suggest at least mid back to low back. Looking good, keep it growing.
Scott
Hey Scott
Yes, it does INDEED take the same mindset for hair as it does for the body... so beng consistent with my routine, taking charge of my hair when people are flippant about it, and patience... have helped a lot in both aspects.
My inital goal is to be able to pull it to my tailbone.
Being that I lose about 5-6 inches of length due to my hair shrinking because it's curly, tailbone length should rest midback (if taken out from an all day bun (which helps relax my hair)...letting my hair dry curly will make me lose many more inches, but the spiral effect is very cool.
If tailbone length (in 2 years, if I make it so as to not have to trim) come by well, then I'll have another goal, of course :))
But of course, your length , and this guy's length (

His hair is greater than classic length. I was surprised by just how long it actually was in the video. It appears to reach the middle of his thighs which is almost as long as mine is. Mine just reaches my knees.
Your hair is quite thick and it looks to me like you have a lot of growth potential remaining. Muscles love protein and so does hair. The high protein diet that you eat for body building should also help you to have a super long mane in a couple of years.
Scott
Hi FitnessDavid,
That was a great pair of videos which really showed a significant difference in your hair length. To think you grew that much hair in just eight months:)Looks really thick too and I agree with Scott that you should shoot for lower back length with great hair such as yours.Looks like you got a handle on doing the self video as well:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
Hey Mark
Yes, wel, tailbone ength (pulled) would then equal mid back length for me, as my hair shrink because it's curly
Nut that is my goal, and if all goes well with not having the need to trim, (and not going prematurely terminal, LOL), it shouldbe there in a little over 2 years
Soaking wet, my hair is approaching my lower shoulder blades, so it look like another foot is needed for tailbone.
David
Very nice, great progress.
WOW your hair looks great and is really getting long fast! Really cool. Hope your doing well. Are you taking anything to help it out? Hope your good. take care!
Thanks!
No, I'm not taking anything to help.
I basiclly Keep it up in a bun, moisturize all the time...and try not to bother with it.
Because of that, I do't have any damage to trim off, so I retain all my hair length.
David
What do you use to moisturize your hair?? I'd like to possibly do the same. Looks great!
Well, the main part of what I do to moisturize my hair is the same:
Use conditioner (cheap, liquidy type) on my scalp to wash it...I do this before entering the shower...In the shower, rinse thouroughly, while smoothing hair, then squeeze it out. Then apply a thicker conditioner , put it in a pony tail, braid the ponytail, bun the braid, and secure with another elastic.
This is how I wear my hair untilk it dries somewhat, or I keep it like that the whole day.
At the second half of the day, I usually take down the bun, and remoisturize (even though the hair is very damp, it just allows me to keep it nice and moist, and neaten it up)
Here is an older video of what I still do.... The products I use can vary, though. :))

Hi FitnessDavid,
You have progressed very well indeed, and your mane is very thick, and growing quickly too. Keep up the good work!
Keep it growing,
