I haven't gone out jogging for a while, partly because my long hair gets in my eyes. When I had a shaved head I would just go out and do it but now I can't do that. Do any of you guys go out jogging much? What do you use?
Depends on how long it is, I use multiple ponytail ties to keep it from tangling. But seeing your message is guess you're still in the akward stage. I used a bandana to keep my hair out of my face when my hair wasn't long enough to fit in a tie.
Yes, it's in the awkward stage. However, I'm hesitant to wear one because I live in an area that has a lot of Mexicans so I don't want to look like a gang member.
I use a sweatband (in addition to ponytailing). The ones I have are black, to help avoid snarky comments from silly people who think that sweatbands stopped being useful in 1985.
Don't those get hot?
You can use other "tools" maybe a baseballcap although that's a lot hotter, maybe one with sweatholes in it? Or a diadem I know some guys who wear them and look great although I don't like it for myself. Last option is an elestic around your head, like david beckham had when he had longhair.
Just use whateven you feel comfortable with.
A Bandana works great for me. Also, it keeps the sweat out of my eyes!
Simply wear an Alice band or bandanna. You could even just wear it in a tail.
If you're uncomfortable with a bandana or headband, just wear a hat. Either a knitted hat or even a ball cap would be enough to control your hair. A ball cap would keep the sun our of your eyes while you run as well.
As said, tie it back if it's long enough. Use multiple hair ties as the length necessitates. If your hair is still in the awkward faze and not long enough to tie back, I'd think it wouldn't be a problem. The air going through it while you're running should be enough to keep it out of your face.
Exactly. If it gets in your eyes then you're not running fast enough, LOL!
All joking apart, although I'm not exactly known for running, if I do run my hair just flies backward. So I guess the problem is your hair isn't long enough! If you recently had a shaved head, then that would definitely be the case.
I guess a baseball cap will work with almost any length hair, from short and stubby to flowing down your back. If your hair was long enough to trip over you would have had time to figure it out by now! Some of the other solutions are more length specific. You may just have to try them and see what works for you.
