I just want to encourage those of you who are getting a hard time from people who don't like your hair.I know there are other women out there who, like me,find long hair on men very attractive. The women who don't like it are probably not the type you would like anyway. I hope that in the business world it will become more acceptable for men to have long hair. In this day and age it does seem silly that the length of one's hair would be a consideration . Don't give in to the pressure, unless, like Chaucer stated in a previous post, you deem cutting it necessary to keep your job or your woman............nah, ditch the job, dump the woman, and KEEP THE HAIR! LOL. Hang in there guys, the world needs more long haired men!!
Which loss takes longer to recover from?
Long hair--about 4 years.
Job--about a year?
Woman--about two years?
I forgot to say, I probably takes longer to replace long hair than to find a new job or find a new girlfriend.
And of course, you can cut your hair and then still lose your job or your girlfriend. Then you will have no hair and no job or girlfriend. This is less far fetched than it may at first seem, because once you kowtow to people, you no longer have their respect, so in these cases folks who acquiesce find they often lose far more than their locks.
I agree that hair cutting would be the wrong choice in cases where he prefers to keep his hair long. The point I was trying to make is that losing the job or the girlfriend may be less of a loss that cutting hair in terms of the length of time it takes to recover from the loss.
"The point I was trying to make is that losing the job or the girlfriend may be less of a loss that cutting hair in terms of the length of time it takes to recover from the loss."
should say...
The point I was trying to make is that losing the job or the girlfriend may be less of a loss than cutting hair in terms of the length of time it takes to recover from the loss.

I am a french man and i have had very long hair 4 years ago.It was waist lenght which is very unusual for a man in France. At the age of 15 i wanted to wear my hair as long as my sister ,and it grew. When i had to find a job i understood very quickly that i will have to cut it
and i cut it.Just to tell you that long hair is not acceptable for many employers but may be things will change in the future,i hope so.
