Well, Tomorrow I cross a threshold. I will pull my hair back and wear a tail to work. It is getting longer, amd I wanted to wait a bit before doing so. However, my hair, though straight, is thick and is refusing to stay behind my ears. Therefore I will pull back what can be held into a tail situated slightly higher than I will finally wear one. This is to gather all the hairs I can. Those not long enough...yet, I will use a light spritzing. and maybe pins (if needed and I buy some) Wish me luck, I haven't worn a tail to work in 30 years.
Good luck, a milestone passed indeed.
Hi Jason,
Sounds like a good idea doing the tail higher up so as to restrain all or most of the shortest hairs.Wow, 30 years since your last tail for work?Have you worked for the same company that long?Seems kind or rare nowadays.Anyway I'm sure you will get some nice compliments:)If you can post a pic of your tail for work my friend.Good luck and do keep it growing.Cheers
Mark
You are right: it is indeed a major milestone to decide on tailing your hair for work (even when it won't all quite make it there yet).... A big CONGRATS to you, Jason!!

I'm sure it will look great as long as you're happy with it! Confidence is key ;).
Post a pic, if you don't mind and congratulations on the milestone.
Good luck for tomorrow and let us know how it went.
Cheers,

It was a very good day. A full round of compliments, even my boss, when she saw me started to ask if I had cut my hair, caught herself, then asked that I turn around (I was asked to do this often, today) and said, cheerily, I like it!
As the pic shows, it is just a start and does pale alongside the wondrous manes sported on this site. but. I promise to give y'all a good run, in time.
Very nice pic, Jason!
Even at this shorter length your ponytail still looks thick. I can only imagine how nice it will look with another year's growth.
Congratulations!

Good oon you, it looks great!

So nice to hear about such positive reactions from a work setting -- that's the way it should be, in my opinion! My guess is that you are probably also very happy with your job, your boss, and co-workers. There's nothing better than finding a good match like that, a real "win-win" situation!
We all started off with our first ponytail being a modest-looking one, regardless of however long it eventually became; so no reason to feel anything other than pride in your milestone accomplishment, my friend!

Jason, that tail looks great on you!
I think you'll find it a practical way to protect your hair from daily wear 'n tear - especially if your hair is fine.

Hi Jason,
Congratulations on the tail, that is one milestone we all celebrate with pride, and yours is doing very well indeed. Also, that is awesome about getting all those nice comments, which help to make the journey to long hair all that much more rewarding.
Keep it growing,
David
