Today, on our public radio station KERA (kera.org), I heard a wonderful hair story.
There was a call-in question/answer session asking listeners (I'm paraphrasing this) "What one thing from your past would you like to do again before you reach your Golden Years?"
One listener called in and said that he had grown his hair long when he was in high school, and then kept it very short after he was done with school.
He later (age 57 now) grew his hair to lower back length for the very first time since high school. He was amazed at how nice his hair looked and that it still had most of the color it did when he was in high school. This person was very emotional, almost in tears, as he was describing how wonderful it felt to grow his hair out again!
A wonderful hair-related story I heard from out of the blue on the radio today. This made my day!

P.S. This aired sometime between 1:30 - 1:45pm CST during "Think".
What a wonderful story, Oren, thanks so much for sharing it!!! I can especially relate to that guy's story, since I'm 57 also, as well as grew my mane out later in life (only having it "long-ISH" once I left my dad's house at age 18 -- a bit different history from that guy on the radio, I realize; but still, a lot for me to be able to relate to)...
I just love public radio and public TV, they're the best!
