So.
I just lately feel like for 6 and a half odd years that my hair is short.
I know it isn't but compared to where I'd like it...
I want it below my butt.
So here is a new Video I put up on youtube 2 days ago.
Do you think my hair looks good at this length and can get longer?
I have trimmed a lot actually now that I think about it.
Maybe if I stop trimming it can get to that length I want.
Also, is my hair kinda close to this one girls hair?
Hi Smitts,
Great to see you posting again and hope all is well with you :-)
That is amazing growth for 6 1/2 years and your hair is in great condition and has great body. You certainly have very good hair growing genes and if you want to attain butt length or longer I would just let it grow and stop trimming. The ends look very healthy and in good condition. Keep it growing and a great inspiration to great longhair.
Look forward to your next update and do keep in touch.
Cheers,
John.B
It looked much longer in the ponytail vid of yours. I'm the one that left the comment about oiling it too.
Probably the shirt I was wearing. it's long and I didnt have a shirt on in the ponytail vid so you can see it better.
It's gotten longer since then.
Glad to hear it's gotten longer! It's gorgeous! I'm planning on not cutting mine for 2 - 5 years.

Hi Smitts:
The difference between waist length and classic length hair can often be a matter of height. Someone who is 5'3" tall with classic length hair will have about the same actual hair length as someone 6'6" tall with waist length hair. You appear to be 6' tall in the video. (Skinny guys often look taller than they really are.)
A few nutrients that help to grow your hair to maximum length are:
protein - Make sure you get enough, about 75 grams / day.
MSM - I take 1/2 to 3/4 tsp per day.
saw palmetto - This is good for hair.
soy lecithin - This has cut my shedding rate by half. The less loss to shedding, the longer it will grow. I take a heaping tsp per day.
The above can be real length boosters.
Your hair looks excellent in your video and appears to me to be good for maybe 6" more growth. While your hair constantly grows 6" per year, you may gain only 2 or 3 inches per year due to the fact that you will shed hair nearly as fast as it grows. This is normal for super long hair. Before reaching terminal length, my hair did just that. In the final year before reaching terminal, it gained only 1 or 2 inches of length.
I always like to chat with fellow longhairs on Facebook. Feel free to friend me if you like.

Hi Smitts,
Sorry to take so long in replying to your thread but better late than never I guess:)I think your hair looks fabulous now even at its current length. However,if you do stop trimming it would be interesting to see what terminal length is for you. That girl has achieved a phenominal length as I wish I could grow mine that long;)Anyway you and your hair look "perfect together" so keep it up my friend:)Cheers
