Hi I hope you are all well, it's been a while!
It's been about 18 months since my last very haircut. I have had the back trimmed twice this time growing, last time about 2 months ago it's just a personal preference to have it all one length while the front catches up. Still in the annoying phase where the front won't quite reach a full ponytail, so going through the gel like nothing else each workday, which isn't really all that good for my hair. I only wash with shampoo then condition once a week. For the gel to work I need to unfortunately wet it every day, then carefully comb with a wide tooth comb.
This photo just taken when wet, in about 2 hours from now it will be an uncontrollable frizzy nightmare due tho the really humid summer we are having here in Eastern Australia. It gets a rest from product on the weekend at least. Still I'm lucky I'm not in Queensland, wherethey have really bad flooding the worst in nearly 40 years.
Anyway, take care all,
MattT
I mentioned that 2 hous after drying it would be a nightmare, here's the proof!! Humidity go away. I know I could use some conditioner but I wanted a break from all the extra gunk for a couple of days...
Cya All!
Hi Matt, I quite understand what humidity does to hair. Aussie summers are way too humid in Eastern Australia. I couldn't handle living in Sydney in Summer. My hair puffs up on humid days too. I live close to the coast in Canberra where we still feel the humidity. Looking forward to the end of this summer and back to cooler times.
I feel sorry for those poor people up in Queensland and in other places where the flooding from torrential rains has been bad.

Yes QLD has certainly had it bad, but the amazing thing is the amount of people who just showed up to help out, or donated money/time in other ways. Just when you think we have all become facebook obsessed zombies people come out and surprise with their generosity!
Cya!
That's about the only good thing to come out of the Queensland floods that it has brought out the best in a lot of people and that community spirit can arise to the occasion when the shit hits the fan!
i noticed some of you guys are from australia, do ausie women like americans ? and how do longhairs fair in ausie cities. namely bars restaraunts, pubs, nightclubs ect. do ausie women like longhaired men in general. goodday. and throw a shrimp on the barby !!!!!!
Well all i can say is that most Australians aren't too bothered with seeing long haired guys. And long hair on men is not all that unusual in Australia. The best hair compliments I've got were from women. We are generally pretty laid back here in Australia.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for sharing the update and the hair is looking great and those natural waves are just amazing.
Glad to know your not caught up on the floods :-)
Keep it growing.
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks John,
bet where you are it's freezing!
take care,
Matt
Not quite we had a balmy 10 deg C here today :-)
But don't worry I won't mention the ashes!
Cheers,
John.B
Nevermind!!
What's the ashes again? I think the trouble with us here is that as soon as there is failure we just move onto something else... so long as we are winning!! The papers here spent the last 2 weeks destroying the team, the selectors, everyone involved. Now that's just not cricket, hey?
10 deg sounds really nice right now btw!!
Congratulations on your growth! Already your hair looks long. It definitely looks healthy and strong enough for some serious length.
Keep it up! :P

Your hair looks great, Matt. I actually like the way it looks dry, it has more body. Keep it growing.
