Yesterday I had my hair in a low ponytail, and although I still had to use the arms of my glasses to pin the hairs to short to be included in a ponytail behind my ears. For once they didn't poof out & unpin themselves. So to the untrained eye it looked like all the hairs were acutally included in the ponytail.
Better yet: I've done some rough measuring, and I'm sure that within the next inch of hair growth, every hair that had to be pined back yesterday (and isnt ridiculously short for one reason or another) really will be long enough to be included in a low ponytail.
And to think: it probibly still hasn't been a full year since my last haircut yet.
Congratulations, ArendJK! This is one of those well know Longhair firsts. Pins are necessary sometimes. Another thing that I used to tame those flyaway short hairs is a light misting
of Pantene's Spray Gel. It say for 'curly hair' but disregard that totally. Then, before the spray gel dries, first smooth the hairs with your hand and follow that with an additional smoothing down (or pressing down) using a dry washcloth. It really words.
THEN, make sure you keep fingers and hands AWAY from your hair.
Good luck on all future 'milestones'!
