Don't know if anyone remembers me - Laurence from Yorkshire UK - I used to post on here quite a lot until I cut my hair in 2007 (due to MPB, thinning, poor texture - I was 45 at the time). It took a few months before I stopped flicking a non-existant ponytail out of the way when I put on my coat but I'm used to it now and still love to see a guy with long hair. I'm able to do it without envy - usually :-) Strange thing is, I moved 100 miles further south in England and the number of longhairs dropped dramatically so not so many to look at.
Anyway - lovely to see so many new guys growing their manes and also great to see so many of the familiar old names too, still sharing their invaluable experience!
Hi Laurence,
I'm so sorry to know that you cut your mane due to MPB and other things but it still sounds like you are a longhair at heart:) I'm not quite sure I remember you as possibly you posted under another name?Regardless it's cool that you dropped in to revisit the site.I too enjoy seeing longhaired men in my travels as I usually see at least two a day, me being one of them when I look in the mirror;)Anyway hope otherwise you are doing well and glad you thought of us here:) Cheers my friend
Mark

Hey Laurence,
First of all, I'm glad to meet you. I'm Raymond. I'm a wanna be longhair.
If you ever have the opportunity to get an American $100.00 bill take a look at the picture of Benjamin Franklin on it. He had MPB and yet he had what hair he did have grow. He was a favorite and a novelty at the French court because he did not wear a wig and the people thought that he was an icon of the American Frontier because of his long and natural hair.
Raymond
"Big L" - good to hear from you, and know that the life-of-leisure has been going well!
Thanks for dropping by and saying hello.

Hey BigL, of course I remember you! I'm sorry to hear that you felt that MPB was to the point where you felt the need to cut. I believe that long hair always looks better regardless of hair loss but I admit I'm quite biased.
