Hey guys, I have posted a pic on here but almost 2 years ago. I am now 3.5 years into growing my hair. I use Mane N Tail. I only wash my hair about 1-2 times a week if that. I take great care in brushing it. I never blowdry it or straighten it. The pic is me right after air drying it for 2 hours out of the shower. I am a natural bodybuilder(cant tell by this pic but all good) so my diet is very good, might be the reason it is so healthy. I pick at my split ends daily. Anyways...
Hi RedSage,
Actually even with that shirt on I can somewhat tell you seem to be in good shape but that is great you take so good care of your body as well as your hair.I really does show.Your mane is magnificent my friend! It sounds like you are doing all the right things to keep your hair nice and its working:)I'm not sure if I remember you from the past as maybe you posted under another name?Anyway thanks for stopping in to update us and please do come back again:)Cheers

Your hair is gorgeous. You take very good care of it, and as a result, is of top quality. Keep it growing.
Scott

Looks fantastic!! :D
Frodo
Beautiful!! More pictures, please!

Wow,each picture is a head turner for sure!Do you get lot's of compliments on your hair?I can't imagine there is anything negative that could be said unless that person is dripping with jealousy!LOL.I'm very impressed:)Cheers
Mark
Wow, that's really awesome!

Your hair looks fantastic in this photo. Long red hair seems to be quite rare. What is your goal length? (Waist length would be a good goal.)
Scott
Thanks brotha. My goal length is to the back of my knees. I know that sounds crazy but i am committed to not cutting my hair for at least another 10+ years. I only say 10+ years because i guess i have to have some sort of #, but really, i dont ever want to cut my hair again lol!
Wow, thanks RedSage, amazing hair and an inspiration.
thanks guys! appreciate the comments a lot. mark; i posted under this same name even 2 years ago ;)
Here is another pic of it in a ponytail!
Thanks for that second photo RedSage as that tail looks tremendous!Gotta love that red hair being you don't see many longhaired guys at all with that color hair.Sorry I didn't remember you from when you last posted but promise I won't forget this time:)Have a great weekend!Cheers
Mark
thanks guys! appreciate the comments a lot. mark; i posted under this same name even 2 years ago ;)
You have one of the most amazing looking ponytails I have ever seen!!
I really like your hair color, the way it hangs and looks. It's really healthy, full and shiny like many young women have! A lot of men can't truly achieve an authentic girl's hair look, however you do it and remarkably well. I'm a guy and don't mind looking girly. In fact it kind of turns me on to look pretty, problem is few people understand people who think like me. I know a lot of people will frown on me for making this comment since this is a site that relates to the manliness of long hair but am just being honest.
At any rate, I hope to see more stunning long hair photos from you as you grow your hair much longer hopefully. Great job! I'm a fan! Much success to you.
Yes im frowning!!!!!!
JMM...
I happen to agree with your response, redsage does it very well. I also agree that some men do look "pretty" with long hair, and some men look more masculine with long hair; both are good! I myself tend to lean toward feeling more pretty, more attractive and feeling turned on as you speak of.
Kenny
Appreciate the comment. I agree/understand 100%. I've been told by many women that I am a pretty man which is rare. The fact that my hair is red really is the cherry on top. When I walk around in public, I actually do feel pretty and exude this type of attitude, no homo of course. I am extremely fortunate to have such great hair genetics and have thanked my mom profusely, she has red hair and her hair looked JUST LIKE MINE when she was my age. Again, thanks for the comment.
RedSage,
Outstanding hair! it's health really shows as well as your efforts in caring for it.
Hi RedSage,
Thank you for sharing your outstanding and truly inspirational update! You have an excellent head of hair, and with it's thickness and condition, you should be able to achieve much greater lengths should you choose to do do. By all means, keep up the good work!
Keep it growing,
David
Wow, that is excellent hair! I always thought having red hair would be very cool, and long red hair especially so as its more rare.
lol thanks. ya i catch a lot of shit from my buddies having red hair, but it's all fun/joking. they always crackin ginger jokes on me
Thanks a lot for all the comments guys, all have/will been read and much appreciated.
mark you asked if i get a lot of compliments: yes! all the time, its very fun. in my experience thus far, i have had many black people approach me and express their interest and admiration of my hair. lots of men do the same. the least amount of compliments i receive would be from pretty/hot/attractive women, they usually just stare lol
Red Sage-Very impresive...Any front/side pictures? What is your goal?
thanks brah! goal is to not cut it ever. but since some sort of unforseen circumstance may or may not arise in the future, lets just say i want to get it do the back of my knees.
That's some awesome hair there! When I was little I was a redhead, then it changed into dark brown. I still have a few red hairs speckled throughout though.
thanks! ya, i think the underpart of my hair is turning brown right now. i hope to keep growing out red, but seems like it is just ever so gradually getting darker :(
These are some of the most inspirational long hair pics I've ever seen. Well done, with both the mane and the physique.

good, im glad i can inspire. dunno why guys dont have long hair, seems like we are a VERY small minority. everywhere i go, i am pretty much the only guy with long hair ;)
Nice looking mane, you got that Dave Mustaine look going on, James
lol ive hearrd ths a couple times. people usually call me the ginger fabio, or axel rose
Wow you've got amazing hair, thanks for sharing such a wonderfull update!
Thanks brotha, u got some pretty awesome hair to , was 'mirin your length the other day, cant wait for mine to get where urs is
That's an impressive 'mane' you have there! Look thick and healthy, definitely a role-model for us 'newbies'.
And an impressive physique, too. Its unusual to find bodybuilders with such awesome long hair.
Congratulations on both! I'm hoping I can achieve them sometime in the future =)
thanks a lot man, much appreciated. lemme know if u ever want some advice on diet/training
Do you advocate a one-bodypart-per-day approach, or do you follow a different type of training split? I'm currently experimenting with switching from a "whole-body, 3 times per week" regimen to one bodypart per day. This is in addition to 2 miles of walking and 2 miles of jogging daily, and some martial arts training once per week (mostly teaching). I realize this is more cardio than a lot of bodybuilders do, but I've got about 20 pounds of fat to lose. I'm eating clean (high protein, low fat, most carbs from vegetables, fruit, and some whole grains).
If you do train one bodypart per day, what sort of set/rep range do you follow? Also, if you don't mind my asking, what are your height and weight (helps for me to envision comparable proportions)?
Thanks a lot, man. Always nice to bounce ideas off of fellow physical culturists! I actually have a Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Wellness (and I'm a registered nurse), but specifics related to training are often best learned from other guys who have walked the walk, rather than the generic textbook/ muscle magazine approach.

You certainly did win the genetic lottery and what's great is that you appreciate your hair! It's practically a sin for men with hair as nice as yours to cut it.
Welcome back. I remember you from before and a search in the archive found some more awesome pictures. I have linked to one.
RedSage's Hair
lol good find broski! thanks for the comment as well. and ya, i have nightmares about cutting my hair lol oh lord. Here are a couple more pics.

Hey RedSage,
That's an amazing physique you've achieved and with your hair its the perfect package:)I've worked out for years myself but don't come close to that.I have a very thin frame so I don't think I could pull off that look.Anyway thanks for the additional pics as your thread has been fun to follow my friend:)I loved reading everyones comments.Cheers
Mark
RedSage- The pictures are great. You obviously take very serious what you set out to do. The hair is awesome! Could you share your stats so we have an idea of your size and hair length? Thanks for sharing bro!
thanks. ya i am 6'4, 230lbs. So my hair is pretty long
IMPRESSIVE. It obviously takes a lot of discipline and dedication to achive such great looking hair and muscular development. Wish you the best as you continue your journey. Stay on track bro!
The beginning
This guy has officially earned a spot on my Hair Heroes ("Hairoes?") list. Thanks for digging through the archives, Jason!

You look like a force to be reckoned with, pity the fool who has anything negative to say; you could do some serious damage, if you chose to. You mentioned the "ginger" comments, has anyone used the word "carrots"? Also, regarding the change in color you mentioned noticing; that seems to be part and parcel with the aging process. I'm a natural blonde who was golden=haired when young, honey-blonde in my teens and 20's, but went dark blonde as I aged. I'm now 50, and along with the dark blonde hair, I'm gradually going white, with some white hairs along the temples. I've always had strawberry blonde highlights, and they are still there. So, yeah, you might go a bit darker, but you won't lose the red entirely. Since you mentioned having hair like your mom, observing her hair color changes might give you a clue as to where yours will go. Great hair, you have more of a coppery hue than the typical "carrot top", which is a nice shade to have.
Now that's gorgeous!
your hair looks absolutely beautiful!! U don't see too many Redheads! My hair is between light brown and reddish brown but always wanted red hair!! lol...However, would def not dye it...
Dee,
