Hi guys,
I've been reading some of the posts here and thought I'd intro myself. I decided a while ago, after years of trying various haircuts (and no-hair cuts) to try and grow my hair longer. Not just longer (which it's been) but WAY longer (which it's never been.) I don't know how far I'll get. I tried in 9th grade (way back in 19mumble muble) and again in college, and once more a few years out of college, but even if I let the back grow longer (the longest I think was about down to my shoulder blades in back) I never seem to get the top or sides long enough. So, now I'm 43, I work at an old-west theme park, and dammit, I've decided to grow it out. Oddly, I've got a hairdresser friend who's also growing out his hair, so we've got this in common and he's the first guy I've known who can keep my hair looking neat as it grows out and I don't feel like he's trimmed it *shorter* - just *neater.* (Does that make any sense? You'd have to see it.) No pics yet... no length really to speak of, but it's shaggier than I'm used to and I'm excited to see if I can at least make it to Christmas. If I can get that far, then a March 27 anniversary can't be THAT hard to do. (I've gone more than a year before... can I do TWO years this time?)
So, I'm just saying hey and hoping for some encouragement.
Cos
Hey Cos, glad to meet another long-hair to be. Sounds as though you've got a good start AND a bud who's going to be there for some encouragement! Believe me, the longer it gets the better it'll feel. Chances are that you won't get as much crap about it as you may think; I don't and I've got a few years on you (and some length - mid-back tail). Just keep coming back here for answers to your questions and added encouragement. These guys have helped me a lot!
Keep Growin'!!
