Hi Guys
Can we just spare a few moments for our thoughts and prayers for our friends in Japan.
Thanks. Ian
Yes indeed Ian and looks like a bit of a China Syndrome with one of the Nuclear reactors today.
Yes!-----------------------------------------------------------
Yes. This event is the most horrible ever.
Indeed Justin it is.
Someone just mentioned that they should not build nuclear power plants along fault lines like in Japan. Well they could and have built them in California along the San Andreas fault. No great loss, they have meltdowns in Tinsel town everyday of the week!
" they have meltdowns in Tinsel town everyday of the week!"
hahahaha, good olde english humour, superb :))
cheers Dave
Indeed. A most horrific set of events. The Japanese culture is strong and we will witness a resiliance that will honor Japan and us all.
Hi Ian,
Thank you for starting this thread, and of course, I was genuinely saddened, and horrified when I heard about this yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
David
My niece lives in Tokyo, we were concerned how things were there. She met and married a Toyota employee when he was in the US and working at their Michigan plant, and later moved to Japan when he was called back. She teaches ESL in a high school there. Fortunately she was able to get a short message to her father (my brother) to let him know that she and her husband are okay. A lot of communications are either completely down, or working intermittently; so she was lucky to be able to get a message out to concerned family and friends.
Oops, don't know what happened there.
Just to reiterate everybody else, very shocking indeed. Thoughts are with the people of Japan.
cheers Dave
Hey Ian,
It's amazing the power of nature as I just came across this video of the tsunami taking place.I feel so terrible for anyone who had to witness this before their very eyes.Something one will never forget.

My thoughts are with everyone in Japan right now but I'd just like to remind everyone that Christchurch still hasn't gotten any better. Yeah, everyone seems to have forgotten about that now haven't they. So I would also like to give my thoughts out to the people of Christchurch and the surrounding area.
I am sure none of us have forgotten the people Christchurch or any other of the recent natural disasters and thank you for reminding us to share our thoughts.
