Hi there,
Has been about a year ago since I posted an update so time for a new one. Over 4 years in and really starting to like the length although it's not huge, kinda wavy too so I'm not really getting the length.
Not a whole lot of extra length compared to last year also but still some and it becomes hard to notice after some time I guess when you're not a really fast grower.
Also I recently gave myself a trim, finally got fed up with my crappy ends. Not split ends because I don't seem to get any but thinning by overall hairloss. Didn't cost me much length, more even and looks slightly thicker now overall ready to grow some more. Was a matter of two mirrors, playing around with the hair to carefully figure out where and what to snip and some patience.
Kinda crappy photos but I suck. \m/
Looking very nice there Twist! Good work on the clean up of the "crappy ends".

They are actually rather good photos, and your hair looks wonderful. You may be nearing terminal length. That would explain the slower gains in length. Do keep it growing, you are probably good for a few more inches.
Scott
Hi there,
Thanks for the update and hair is looking great and nice to see such thick and wavy hair.
Cheers,
John.B
Your hair looks fantastic and I give you credit for trimming your own hair.Frankly I'd be afraid to try that myself but at least you know the stylist won't scalp you!LOL.Thanks for sharing your pics as they are quite good.Cheers
Mark
You have awesome waves! Congratulations on the progress. :)
Looks awesome dude! keep it growin and keep it metal \m/
Your hair looks really awesome !! You have great length-can't wait for my hair to reach that length...I recently snip a bit myself too-was also tired of the crappy ends...I noticed it looks much thicker and it seems to fall less when I shower...I just basically put my hair in a ponytail and snip the split ends if I have any...Then I just split half of my hair to one side and bring it forward and look to see if I see any split ends or hairs that are out of place and I snip...Then I do the same with my right side...A friend of mine who used to cut hair showed me how to use this technique...Then i just bring all my hair in-front of my shoulders and make sure it looks even on both sides...I've been doing this for a year now and my hair has been growing great and looks even. Therefore, I must be cutting it right lol...I always use a mirror to check the back just to make sure it's all even...I had some lady ask me where I cut my hair, and I laughed and told her it was me...You do need patience though because it takes time and sometimes I'll do it for a couple of days just to see all split ends are gone...I know for some of u guys trimming is not ideal-however, for me it just makes my hair look better. I rather sacrifice a little length now and then and have it look healthier and not ratty.
i there,
Hi Twistofchaos.
Thank you for sharing your update with us. Your hair looks excellent in these photos, and appears quite thick to me. As Scott said, you should be able to achieve at least a few more inches.
Keep it growing,
David
Awesome length! And the waviness looks great!
Twistofchaos, Great look dude! Rock on!!!
peace, jonalbear
We have similar hair I think, and suffer from a similar, relatively short, terminal length. I do so envy the people on this board who can grow their hair down to their waist or knees!
Great mane you have there man, the thickness and the waves look superb, all in a cool look. cheers!
Dave
Fabulous progress!
Congratulations.
Thank you all for the encouraging words!
Yeah could well be my terminal length is short but atleast I'm still hoping for a couple more inches. I might be a bit late age-wise, passed 30 recently. But at 4 years I'm not going to yell terminal length just yet..must not..nooooo
Wicked metal hair, man. I could see you playing lead guitar in a band at a bar somewheres. Don't worry about not seeing too much growth; you have plenty of hair now, and it can only keep growing! :D
