Currently dealing with lots of split ends....but after 2.5y without a trip to get a trim or cut, im not really up to letting anyone touch my hair again other than myself....just bad experiences from previous trips...
Any got any suggestions on where to get a good pair of Scissors to cut the split ends off with?
Brad- def do it yourself! Last month I got the courage and started to trim my own hair-I followed the instructions on an awesome site that was recommended on one of the links and she gives amazing detail on how to trim your own hair...Last year I went in for a trim and ended up losing about 5 inches off my bangs which completely killed the length I had achieved. It took me all Summer to try and get the bangs to reach behind my years...I swear I was livid and horrified when she was done. (However, I was the dumb-ass that just sat there when I had her hands right in front of my bangs cutting them) What is with stylist not hearing a frekin word you are telling them? I mean it's not that difficult,I just don't get it...My hair now looks awesome and I'm in control of how much I cut...I encourage many people to do the same and attempt to trim their own hair. It's a bit nerve racking at first and then you get used to it...Good-luck and post a pic after you're done...

For specifically split end cutting, you want to go with the smallest sharpest scissors you can find...and never use them for anything else! Most drugstores should adequately sharp scissors designed for hair, the next step up is beauty supply stores...and if you just have to have a 4" Japanese style (two cutters rather than the German style cutter and anvil)...there is always the internet. The price range above is US$10 to about US$150.
