Well I missed a March update due to having surgery in early March, but here is my April update. Still growing strong. It almost seems at times like my hair isn't growing, but I love doing these monthly updates because it shows me that, in fact, it is growing strong! Comments are appreciated!
and here is my February picture for comparison!
Since we live with our hair constantly, it's very difficult to tell that it's growing until we look at pictures from the past. I usually take photos of myself every month (front, back, left side, right side) and do comparisons every three months. The differences are always dramatic. Keep it growing, my friend!

Sean,
I agree with Rich. You cant hardly see much difference but its there. I can see your starting to grow " wings ", as my wife would say. Your entering the beginnings of the akward phase, when your hair gets a mind of its own and is not the scuplted look of the profile of your head. Looking good! and Just let it grow !

Hey Sean,
How are you doing after your surgery? I hope that all went well and that you are well.
Bro, I like your hair! It is growing out. Can you feel it moving when you shake your head? Do you feel it blowing in the wind yet.
I had my last haircut on Mar. 9, 2011. That is going to be my long hair birthday. My avitar was taken the day after. I intend to post monthly progress pics.
You seem to be entering the awkward phase. Don't mind any negative comments. Just smile and imagine what your hair will look and feel like in sixteen (16) months.
You're off to a great start, bro. Keep it growing!
Raymond
Raymond,
My surgery went well. I'm a college student, so I had my surgery on our Spring Break. Besides missing out on my Spring Break, everything went great!
I have extremely thick hair, so when its short, I can shake my head and it doesn't move AT ALL! Its to the point now where it covers my eyes, so I am constantly shaking it to get it out of my eyes!
And good luck with ur growth!!!
Big changes there Sean, monthly updates are really helpful to yourself when growing out, as you say sometimes it seems as if the growth has stopped, but your update proves different. Keep strong and don't cut it at all, you will need to go through the awkward stage soon, and then after that its fun all the way.
cheers Dave
Also, I forgot to mention my goal. I am trying to achieve a length that sits right above the shoulders. How long do you guys think it will take to get to that point from where I am now?
Sixteen (16) to eighteen (18) months.
Once you reach your goal and you are satisfied do you think that you would consider going longer?
Raymond
Here is a link for the length your speaking of its at about 14 months, James
14 months
Hi Sean, you hair is looking great and based on your goal length you should be there in no time.Who knows maybe you'll get the bug and want more length when you reach that initial goal. It's all up to the individual. Also I'm glad your surgery went well. Thanks for posting your update:)Cheers
Mark

Sean your hair is growing great, you have a fanstastic head of hair, actually I like the curl to it, but to each is own in style. keep it growing and flowing. Tom
