OK, first I flip to WWF or E or whatever and there's Edge who I've
always thought had excellent thick long hair. Then I go to Cops and
of course there's a longhair who gets arrested for being drunk and
beating on his girlfriend or whatever. Finally I switch to a southern
gospel music show and there in the choir are two longhairs plus one
with relatively short hair with an undercut.
I guess that's a typical cross-section of TV longhairs?
Any time you flip to wrestling you'll see somebody with long hair. Nearly every wrestler has hair at least to the shoulders. ANd if they don't now, they did before. For ex. Undertaker.
Yeah, I don't like the looks of Undertaker now with his buzzcut.

Yeah, and Hulk Hogan had to change to Hollywood Hogan, otherwise the Incredible Hulk wouldn't like that!
