hi im new here just thought id document this journey and hopefully get advice when i need some. ive been growing since about nov or dec of 2010 so im about 5 or 6 months in. the picture was taken last month on march 14. tomorrow ill post this months pic

Welcome to posting on MLHH.
Your hair looks like it has some body to it. It looks healthy and thick. You'll be starting to hit the "awkward" phase which starts around the fourth month and goes until about the nineteenth month. Enjoy it. You maybe tempted to get it cut when your hair sticks out here and there. Push through it, man. Once you get past the nineteenth month, about the end of June, 2012 you will enjoy your long hair. It will have enough volume and weight to hang nicely and with your natural body it will frame your face nicely. You will be able to finger comb it, put it in a ponytail, and enjoy it dancing all around your head in the wind.
Please feel free to ask for hair care advise from your long haired brothers here on MLHH. Hair care advise is not my forte but there are plenty of guys here who are more than capable to help you in that department.

Nice pic -- and it is quite obvious that you have a very good head of hair to work with for growing it long!
The best advise I can give you at this point is to keep coming back here to this hyperboard, even if it is only to catch up on the reading -- you can learn a lot just by reading other people's comments and questions (and especially the many answers to some of those questions)... I've been a "regular" here since Sept. of '03, and I still enjoy learning from others who frequently post here.
Also, before I forget to say it: a warm WELCOME to MLHH!
