Hello guys!
My hair recently just hit a milestone-it's passed my shoulders and until now I have been putting my hair behind the ears...I've gotten used to doing this all the time when my hair was growing out...However,I was thinking the other day what is the use of having long hair if you don't enjoy it and simply let it hang...My hair has gotten long and full enough where I don't need to tuck my hair behind my ears anymore...But, I'm noticing that my hair has gotten a lot of body lately too and it just feels weird when I keep it un-tucked...Is this something you need to get used too? (I apologize I know it's a stupid question) I think since the layers I had are finally starting to grow out and it's becoming puffy on the sides...I'm trying not to put anything on my hair-just wash/conditioner/air dry when I do wash it...I guess I shouldn't complain and just accept it lol. (It's starting to look like Charlie's Angels "Jacklyn Smith" hair for those who are old enough to know who that is lol.)
Hey Dee, no stupid questions! :) my hair is currently mid back and wavy, but when it was about your length is was pretty much how you describe. For me it was just another phase of growing it out and with mine as it got longer it settled down some purely from the weight. I wear mine in a tail most the time, probably because of work and it actually looks shorter and when I take it out, people are surprised to see how much hair is actually there! Anyway I wish you luck, great you got a job and the best of luck in your graphic design work. Take care
Thanks for the great response! I am really happy I finally got a job and the place is really cool and many types of people working there... They let you keep your personality and your look...One waiter even has a Mohawk and another guy has purple hair...It's great to not have to conform to today's beauty or style...(Which is being a clone- nothing against it-but it's just not me and I want to have the option to look how I want)I'm very excited, the place is very laid back and cool...So to all u guys out there looking for work who have long hair, please don't give in to cutting your hair if u don't want too. I almost did, and glad I kept my hair...
Smith" hair for those who are old enough to know who that is lol.)

Hey dee,
Nice pics of your hair as the waves do really look cool on you.Longhair does compliment your face so I'd say the look really does suit you in my opinion:)Hopefully no evil forces ever make you cut it.As for Charlie's Angles, yea, I kinda remember that.LOL...are we that old already????Thanks for posting you fantastic pics my friend.Cheers
Mark
Hairball- thanks for the response and compliment! I can say it actually is long now-I can't wait for it to get passed my chest-hopefully then it won't be so puffy...My hair is really weird-It's pretty pliable in texture...When I took the pics yesterday it was raining outside. Therefore, that is the wavy look-today it's sunny outside and my hair is straighter-however it does begin to wave after it's down for awhile...Sometimes I get people tell me if I got body wave or if I straightened it...I'm like nope that's my hair-just blame it on the weather lol.
Hi dee,
My answer to your question above, is this: since hair does not always behave exactly the same way day after day (even if you were to keep it at its current length and style). then I encourage you to vary the "menu", so-to=speak, with how you want to wear it each day.
Take my own hair, for example: on days right after just having shampooed and conditioned it, I love to keep it loose in order to air-dry it on my way to work or whatever. Several days later, it might be a whole different story -- in that case I usually feel like at least pony-tailing, braiding, or bunning it out of the way. Every day is different, as well as different situations call for variety as well... in fact, to my way of thinking, that's exactly one of the enjoyable reasons for having long hair -- you have WAAAY more options than short hair ever gives you!
That's my 2 cents, anyway -- happy hair-farming!

Thanks Ken- I completely agree with what u say---My hair has a life of its own, I swear it's ALIVE lol...When I want it to be wavy it looks straighter and when I want to be straight it looks wavy...I swear I think it likes to play tricks on me lol. I pretty much gave up and let it be how it wants to be..
to wear it each day.
Nothing much to add. Just wanted to say I kind of get a John Frusciante vibe from the first pic you posted. Awesome.

Thanks-that is so funny u say that!! The other day after work I went out with some co-workers and some guy said I look like him and I had no clue who this was until u posted the pics lol...(I can see the resemblance lol) My hair is actually like that when its down especially after it was just washed-man it can get puffy...Forgive my ignorance---But is he an actor or singer? I sometimes get Brandon Frasier from "Encino Man" movie-its all fun-I always take it as compliments tho...
I'm such an idiot I can't believe I didnt know him by name-I love the Chili peppers!! I forgot he was the former drummer for them-I should check out his solo stuff! thanks for the heads-up Veepa
I understand how you feel as my hair has never been past my chin (it's getting there) but honestly, your hair looks damn good!
That style is totally awesome...you'll have to suck it up or maybe try braiding ;).
Take Care
I used to put my hair behind my ears also, but once I tried wraping it OVER my ears & tieing it in the back, & I found out how much nicer it feels. When my hair is loose over my ears, it dosent feel right , but when it is wrapped around my ears so that the ears are completely covered, the feeling is awesome. it is worth a try to see if it feels awesome to you also. wayne
