Hey all,
My cousin's wedding is in two months, and I'm trying to figure out how to wear my hair. My girlfriend says that putting it in a low ponytail will look the best, but not all of my hair reaches there just yet. It may in two months, it's very close now, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Any suggestions on other ways to wear my hair for a wedding? Thanks!
Rich
Low ponytail is a good option, and when not everything fit's in the tie you can use a bit of gel or hair spray. Other option is to use clips to hold the hair in place that doesn't reach the tie.
You can also put the tail a little bit higher so everything goes in.

I personally would just wear it like you always do, If you wear your hair down and loose then that is a part of your identity.
Thats just me...
That was my first inclination, Vincent. Thanks for the advice.
I do normally have it down, RS66LD, but only because it doesn't all fit in a low tail yet. It's only a few months until it all can, so then it will be up most of the time. That will be nice, especially since my think, long hair on my neck makes me very hot.

Hi Rich,
I'd go with whatever you are comfortable with.If the low tail works in two months then do that being its kind of a standard formal way to wear longhair. However if you think it looks good loose then go that route as long as it doesn't look unruly. You can always put in some product to tame it a bit if need be.People should realize you are there to celebrate the event and not to be on display for criticism of your hair style.Have fun my friend:)

Thanks Mark. It's crazy to think that, in two months time, it should all fit in a low tail. It's millimeters away from reaching right now, which is exciting for me.
The whole idea with formal wear is donning some duds that are going to make an impression (and recognize the importance of the event). Generally, look for a hairstyle that a) looks good on you, and b) is a tad fancier than how you normally wear it. If it's somewhat lacking in length for something intricate, you may want to just go with a low/high ponytail, but that's just me, were I in your footsteps.
Good luck!

Actually. The only thing I could suggest is the behind the ears. I dont think it looks unruly at all so just keep it untied.
I did that for my sisters wedding and I was in the wedding party, and everyone thought it looked perfectly fine.
When I was growing my hair out, my favorite hairdo is french braids. They look very nice & feel even nicer & any strands that are over 5" long will tie into the braid nicely. The biggest problem is finding someone who knows how to french braid. i hope you & many othey guys will find out how nice french braids are. Wayne
well well well. I actually was about to post something like this because I am in the exact same situation!
Turns out I'm going to be a groomsman for one of my good friends in 2 months. and I've been thinking of how to do my hair for that event. Much like you, not all of my hair will go into a tail, generally I end up with loose bangs flying in the wind, or being so short they pull out of the tie just by turning my head. So I'm just almost at that length too.
For you, I'd suggest either leaving it down and back behind the ears as you pull that off nicely. Or going with the tail like I will.
I figure what I'll probably do is put everything back in a tail, take the chunk of my bangs that comes loose (and some extra) and use a hair clip to hide it within the base of the tail. And to be 100% sure it all stays put I'll probably make sure the edges stay put with the smallest amount of hair gel, I'm super anti hair products beyond shampoo and conditioner but for a wedding I'll gladly make that compromise. and wash it out afterwords.
