Hello again, been a few months (I think) since I last posted images (and they weren't very good ones!) so I figured I'd go ahead take another today. It's coming in nicely and I'm still enjoying it, first time growing and I think (though not entirely sure) that it's been about 2 years or close to it since I started from a near-shaved head. Most of the hair reaches into a low ponytail now (the only kind I'd go with), but the bangs are still a little short, should all fit in nicely by late fall or early winter I think. I plan to keep it growing; I have no set goal length but I'm thinking probably mid-back and we'll see what happens from there.
I'll link an old picture as well just to illustrate the difference between short and shoulder-length. The short image is actually from a 3-4 years ago (before I started growing it out) but I don't have a lot of pictures of myself so it will do. I've also lost a good deal of weight since then though it's harder to tell in the photo. I had short hair for the first 20 years or so of my life and don't have any intentions of going back to it. Truth be told some days I want to chop it off (when I do a crummy job washing it and it gets too dry or too oily for example, extremes on either end are not fun but I guess I'm still learning), but on the good days it's a real joy and is definitely worth it. Anyway, thanks for the board and support and have a good one. Onward and downward as you say! :)

You definitely look better in long hair!
and thats the truth :)

very good progress , it feels so natural to have long hair, your friend James
Cool! - you like like Steven Wilson.
cheers Dave
AnotherSchmoe great looking longhair fellow!
Congrats on both the hair growth and weightloss progress.
Onward and Downward!

First off, your hair looks great, it really suits you! Secondly, I know what you mean having a bit of a love/hate relationship with your hair. Most of the time I love my hair but there are certainly days where it doesn't want to cooperate and becomes rather frustrating. It's certainly a learning experience but generally a fun one! Good luck with your journey!

Hi AnotherSchmoe,
First of all I've always gotten a kick out of your handle as aren't we all that.Ha Ha.It's fun when guys come up with creative handles to describe themselves.
Now on to your hair:)I'd have to say its looking fantastic so far and I certainly think the look suits you.Sure you look good even when sporting the shorter hair but there is something about a long mane that just adds something.Don't get frustrated on your bad hair days as I get those too as it just goes with the territory. On those kind of days just tail it and you'll get by fine. That's one reason having really long hair helps because a nice long pony can conceal a lot.My hair tends to look oily due to my use of coconut oil directly on it to keep it feeling silky. However I'm going to try something new very soon known as Cassia on my hair.Sorta like using Henna but without the reddish color.Anyway great update and yes, I can tell you've lost weight by looking at your face.Good for you my friend! Thanks for your post and I'll be looking forward to future updates.Cheers
Mark
Hey there,
Not much I can say except to echo the sentiments about how good your hair looks! This is a great update! Keep it growing :D

The long hair suits you very well. I like the way you wear it at this length. I think a side part works better when the hair is right around shoulder length. How long are you planning on growing your hair?
Thanks, not really sure, no definite goal or anything. For now I'll just keep it growing, probably to mid-back or so and then see how I feel from there. :)
Hey AnotherSchmoe,
Awesome Hair, Dude!
When you have a bad hair day laugh at it.
Your hair is stunning! I hope that you will grow it out to terminal length.
Raymond
Hi AnotherSchmoe,
Thank you for sharing your truly outstanding update. You have great quality hair to work with (thick and straight), and have come a long ways, and since hair like yours is the easiest to grow, you should be able to achieve much longer lengths with no problems. Keep up the good work!
Keep it growing,
David
Your hair looks lovely in this photo. With greater length, you may want to go with a center part.

Great progress, hoss. You looked good with short hair, but it seems that long hairs your calling, because it looks even better! May you continue to enjoy wherever you may go with your hair in the future.
