Well, there you go, my first pony tail stub. Not quite long enough to wear it like that on regular basis yet me thinks. Still kinda fun though. I was asking a few weeks ago about neck hair and when to keep and not to keep it. You can see why I was asking.

Looking good already and will only get better. Neck hair becomes much less of a problem the longer your gets. Be sure not to use rubber bands or bands with any metal in them as these can do some damage. Keep growing!

Marcus, dont cut any hair at all, thats the only way it will get long. i know its hard to get through the uncomfortable stage but you can do it. I am coming up on 25 months without a single hair being cut. if i can do it you can do it. good luck bud. James / Tampa,Fl
Congratz with this milestone, makes me remember the time my hair was that long. I was wearing a ponytail as soon as I could and wore it proud everywhere! One of my friends called it a "Vincent tail" so I guess it was something not usualy seen :)
grats on your first tail! they're a great way to get through the awkward phase you're gonna be feeling in about 5". especially when they're new. I got more compliments on my short tail than I have on my currently long tail. I think a tail is the best confidence anyone needs to get through that rough patch that we call the awkward phase. and you've got beautiful shine and color in your hair.
It's ok to cut your neck hair off. later on the hair will cover it anyway & it'll grow longer & longer, getting more & more of it into the tail.
