Been a while since I chimed in here.
I didn't realize that my hair was now halfway down my butt. I guess that's what you get for always wearing your hair up and rarely wearing it down.
My routine is still pretty much the same. I "wash" it every morning, but I "shampoo" it 1-2x a week.
On weekends, I let it dry naturally for maybe 15min. and then I brush it.
Lots of hair comes out, but I don't fret because you lose about 100 hairs a day anyway, so it's not so much a result of brushing as it is a natural event.
But during the week, I don't even brush it. I just comb the front and slick it back and twist the rest into a bun/knot.

WOW!!! What an awesome head of hair. I can only dream of achieving that kind of success. Do you mind me asking how long it took you to reach that length? Simply amazing!!!

Thank you. Well, my hair was longish since 1999 but I had trims along the way. If I had to make a guess, I'd say probably 3 years.
Classic length! Georgeous.
I can think of a few people the 'Rapture ' can take if it wants. heh.
Can I see a pic of the bun? Do you use a hairstick or elastic? What part of the country do you live in, if you want to answer, and what's the reaction to a bun on a guy? No one says much about mine, but I feel like I might have inspired some other women and men to put their hair up that way. it feels so good that way doesn't it?

I use 2 elastic bands. 1 to apply as if doing a regular ponytail, then 1 to apply once the twist and bun is done.

Reaction hasn't been negative. I think because my beard counteracts any "femme" vibe it may give. *shrugs*. I also find that it conceals the length. People seem to make more comments if they saw the actual length of it.

I'm impressed. Although thinner at the ends, it's clear that your hair has continued to grow and not reach terminal. It gives me hope that I might have more length to achieve as well. I wish I knew how to make a bun but just can't seem to master it.

This is "Urban Cowboy" (I decided to use a more boring handle nowadays - LOL)....
Your mane is looking totally AWE-INSPIRING, my friend! My current length is about an inch or 2 shorter than yours -- so my guess is that I've reached terminal length, or close enough to it for it to only grow very very slllo-o-o-o-owwly nowadays.
But I do want to add one more comment: the mega-length on you suits you very well, so I hope you keep it!

Oh man! Now that's long hair! It looks fabulous, even at that lenght, and is now about twice as long as my goal lenght. Congrats! :)
