I'm looking at a 01 F350 diesel that has a 5th wheels hitch in the bed. The truck is alittle rough here and there and needs some TLC. Mechanically though it seems pretty straight forward, relatively clean on the undercarriage with no leaks.
I intend to use the truck for daily driving, hauling firewood amd stuff for work, no towing. Would you buy a truck like this or pass on something else? Truck has 124K miles on it.
Honestly, are you sure you posted the correct board?Maybe you should check out Autotrader or something similar.Good luck with your purchase.
I was just thinking the same thing, Mark.
I did post a similar thread to some other forums I belong too. I figure maybe there were some members here with some knowledge on the subject. Sorry for posting this.
Off topic posts are acceptable, within reason, if the user is a known regular as its also a way to get to know our members better. Also we like to help each other out with things that go beyond our hair.I did notice you posted in the past here and I appreciate your interest. So with that said let me suggest this to your original question.Based on your planned usage of this truck, that one you are looking at seems too robust for your needs. If you aren't towing why get a truck with that hitch in the bed taking up valuable space. Also it's going to be hardly good on fuel.Look for a lighter duty truck such as a 1/2 or 3/4 ton.Hope this helps.
