My beard has regrown nicely from the butchering I reported a while back, but I've run into a bit of a problem. My 4-month-old grandson has developed the painful habit of grabbing fistfuls of it and yanking. This evening he even grabbed some in each hand and started pulling in separate directions. Painful. I'm thinking it may be time for a trim, LOL.

This reminds me of when my kids were small, they used to grab my shoulder length hair and pull on it and grab it like a horse's mane, especially when we went to Disneyland and they took turns riding on my shoulders.
No trim for me, just enduring the pain of kids....lol
Same with my glasses, to this day I still put them away up high even though my kids are adults...
Good stuff..
One of my nephews, as a toddler had the unfortunate habit of grabbing moustaches...Now that hurts.
Yeah, cutting off his fingers should work.

This reminds me of a friend of mine that has a white beard to his mid chest. He always played Santa Cluase at the Mall. He said " Those brats keep pulling my Whiskers !!!...."
LOL LOL

My kids used to hang on my hair rather than my beard when they were babies. It was OK as long as they grabbed enough hair, just painful if they grabbed too few strands.
As a matter of fact, I suspect the actual evolutionary purpose of humans having long hair may be for small kids to hold onto. Not my field, though.
I don't have any grandkids so far. My son is 17 and my daughter is 14. He graduated high school this week and she graduates middle school next week.
