Hi Everyone,
This hair represents at least 10 years of growth. For about 3/4 of the way down the line I was getting haircuts at a salon. Perhaps I should have been doing the ends myself and could have seen more progress? Maybe yes, maybe no.
Unfortunately, given my wavy, knot prone type of hair and slow growth rate, this is all I can produce after so much time. I've seen some people who can grow hair down to their butt in less than half the time it's taken me to get to waist length.
I'll be sure to update everyone every 1/2 a year or more assuming progress keeps up.
I'm pretty sure this is actually the length of my hair realistically as I had the camera measured up just below my height when the photo was taken.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey
Although it took some time to reach this lenght, it still is quite an archievement congratz!
I can see your hair is prone to tangle, what helped for me is handling my hair like it is curly. I only comb it in the shower when it's wet with a lot of conditioner. Then I let it air dry. That way it forms spirals which doesn't tangle as fast a loose combed hairs.
Hi Jeffrey, and thanks for your great update. The beauty of your kind of curly hair is in the fullness it creates, and yours is an excellent example - keep is growing!
Best wishes, Ian
Hi Jeffery, your hair looks outstanding after 10 long years.I know the feeling as I started growing my hair long since the 1980s but with trims and /or cuts along the way I kind of wonder how long it could have grown when I was much younger. It wasn't until around 1998 that I decided to grow it out to full length but still I was doing maintenance trims along the way. Finally in mid 2005 I had my last professional trim and just let it grow.Of course now I seem to have found what my terminal length is but regardless I'm happy with what I have:)Anyway thanks for posting your pic as yours is a very nice mane my friend.Cheers
Mark
Jeffrey, you have amazing and beautiful hair! Nice tail! Thanks for posting. :)
Is it just me or does he sort of look like Dracula ;p. Just seemed to pop out to me, but on the subject of hair you have nice long curly hair. On that same topic, so does the Count.
He was called "Vlad the impaler"
Funny you should say that as I played Dracula when I was in high school.
wow the resemblance is crazy. maybe hes a descendant of vlad. anyhow nice hair j.m.m., you have great patience to wait 10 year with slow growing hair, i applaud you for that sir.
Funny you should say that as my deceased friend compared me to looking like Vlad The Impaler.
My goodness how funny, though not very charitable. ;p I would not think he would want to associate himself with the Count!! I did think he looked like some of the Spanish paintings of the mid 1600s though.
My mom tends to compare me with this man: This is a self portrait of Albrecht Durer from 1498. You can say I haven't grown out of this period (pun not intended). I am roughly 500 years behind the times.
Yes, my ancestors lived in Eastern Europe so there might be some truth to this, who knows?
Let's compare the photos.
Let's compare the photos.
I'm sorry but this picture cracks me up, not in a bad way though. But seriously, are you sure your not the Count? ;p *gets out the garlic and crucifix* Gary Oldman hasn't got anything on you, they should have cast you for Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Ziggy
Hi Ziggy,
I eat raw garlic cloves, powered garlic and often, so I'm not Dracula, also I have no problem with seeing a crucifix. I can't be his descendant most likely.
Jeffrey
Your hair looks great at waist length! My hair is also wavy and thick like yours since I am part Italian so it kind of comes with the territory, lol. How long did it take you to grow it to mid back length?
Dang! That looks nice!
