Well, hello everyone, I just wanted to share this picture with you all as today marks the first day I have tried a complete low ponytail, fitting all hairs into the hair tie. I have been aware for several months that my hair could be put in this style, but I have never really tried haha :P I had a job interview, (great timing for my first low ponytail lol), and thought it would be more presentable wearing my hair in this fashion than my usual uncombed, hat and hair duo lol. I can say I was over the moon with the results, and I can't quite believe my hair reaches that far down at all angles. It's been a tricky and time consuming process getting to this point lol, but after 14 months since my last haircut, I can safely say the time has flown by, and I enjoy my hair more each day as it slowly nudges further down towards my goal.
Anyway, apologies for the long post lol, hope everyone is having a great day :)
Regards, James
James,
Your hair's awesome, man. I'm surprised that you didn't try to wear a ponytail before now! Are your 14 months of growth from when you shaved your head, had short hair, or what? I'm going to grow mine out after high school, and I just wonder how long it'd take to get to about your length. :P
Good luck with growing your hair out, hoss!
Venya
Hi Venya,
I had my last haircut in February last year, my hair had been shoulder length before, but I wasn't commited to going the whole way at that point, so I had it cut to collar level, the front fringe was at my eye level. As of this month, my hair is shoulder blade length, and the fringe stretches a good 4 inches past my chin. I'm guessing the overall growth would be somewhere between 20 and 25 months? Thanks for the reply :)
Regards, James
Hi James, it's always a fantastic milestone to be able to create a decent tail, and your looks very decent indeed. Well done.
Keep growing. Ian
Hi Ian,
Thanks for the reply, It sure is a great milestone when one can finally create a low ponytail, just wishing I'd attempted one a few months back lol, because it sure was long enough haha :P
Regards, James
OMG James K
That is beyond fantastic! And now, they BETTER hire you.
Justin~
Thank you Justin, I greatly appreciate your words of encouragement, you were one of the main reasons and factors that gave me the drive to pursue my long hair goal. I get such a laugh watching your videos, you have a great sense of humor, and the videos you post are always fantastic :)
Regards, James
Thank you James, but I have just made a new video that I shall upload tomorrow PM.......but not all humor. This one is for the guys that cannot handle the Society idiots as I would, and it is really a "get tough" approach. Yikes..........hope they do not talk this way to their parents! :-0 LOL :-)
That first time you wear a ponytail and realize that all the hair reaches the tie is truly a seminal moment in the growth journey for every longhair. Congrats and your hair certainly looks great!

Hi Jason,
Wow, I finally had a chance to catch up with your blog/website! I was delighted that you shared your special day with everyone, and it was such a pleasure being there personally. I was also honoured that you included one of our past meet ups in your collection of photos.
Take care,
David
Hi David,
Thanks for your interest in my blog.
It was great to have you there on the special day. Amanda and I also have good memories of our meetup in November 2009. That was fun taking those photos by that pond. We got a few curious glares in our direction but that's part of the fun! I thought those photos came out well so they made for good material to include.
Hopefully we can have another meetup in the not too distant future.
Best,
Jason
Thanks Jason, that blog of yours btw is very inspiring, to see the transformation from 2004 to the present day is fantastic, what a difference long hair makes.
Regards, James
Thanks James. It's cool you're taking photos of your journey too. It's fun to look back over the course of one's progress.
Looks awesome, a ponytail is a goal of many hair growers and you reached it very fast!
Thanks Vincent, and well done on the trimming you underwent a few days back.

Hi James,
Congratulations on your first, full ponytail, and that is something all of us growing our hair truly celebrate with pride. Your hair really does look in excellent condition, and you should be able to achieve a lot more length easily.
Keep it growing,
David
Cheers David, it sure is a great milestone, thanks for the compliments, I will continue to grow :)

Hi James, thanks for posting your very inspiring update:)You've come a long way in a very short period of time and I bet you are proud of your progress to date.Being no one asked yet what is you ultimate goal for length?Mid back, waist length, even longer?Hmmmmm:)Have a great weekend my friend.
Mark
Hi Mark, thanks for the reply :) My current goal length in mind is at least midback, but I'm pretty sure my ultimate goal would be terminal, depending on how long it grows :P Overall, I'm not entirely sure, If I think about it, I want it as long as it will possibly grow :) Have a great weekend also my friend.
Regards, James
