I have naturally curly hair & have been growing my hair out for roughly 15 months now.
For the last few months, I haven't been using any shampoo & I've just been using a "leave-in" conditioner that claims to be for curly hair, and for the most part this technique seems to be working pretty well.
My problem comes whenever I try washing out the conditioner.
So far I've doing it by rinsing it under a slightly-warm shower & letting it air-dry afterwards.
My problem is: by the time my hair dries after a wrinse-out, its compacted itself to the point of looking almost as short as it was after my last haircut, and its usually several hours before I can even attempt to comb it without the comb getting stuck.
Sorry if that isn't very clear, but that's probably the clearest I can make it. Amway, any advice on a different way rinse out the conditioner?
Why are you trying to rinse out a 'leave in' conditioner?
Its not that i'm taking a shower to rinse out the conditioner, it just happens when I do. The only reason I ever took showers was to wash my hair.
I know there are ways to keep hair dry while taking a shower, but as I see it, that would negate the point of taking a shower in the first place.
