Hey all - I thought I'd be more faithful post more often, but that hasn't been the case. I do pop in and browse, but the threads that I want to reply to are so old by the time I see them it doesn't make sense to reply. My last picture post was in December.
Well, I'm here for an anniversary - it's been two years since I last had a haircut. The pictures I want to include are not the best, but you'll get a good idea of what my hair looks like.
For hair care I use a no "cones" Suave conditioner to wash my hair once or twice a week and a clarifying shampoo about every two weeks - also Suave. On a daily basis I put a small amount of pure coconut oil on my hair to keep it moisturized. I researched and found that the protein in the coconut oil is one of the few that will bind to the hair follicle to not only moisturize, but strengthen. The results have been great! YMMV.
I really enjoy this site and though I may not post, I am reading!!

Hi DanH,
Welcome back after your time off from the board. At least you stayed true to the mission of growing your hair long:)I have to admit this "from behind" pic looks cool as it shows some awesome curls forming midway through the length. If you continue letting your hair grow longer they may straighten a bit.Anyway thanks for making a reappearance and hopefully we'll see and hear more from you.Cheers.
Mark
Awesome
Great hair-my length and waves are similar to yours
From the front.
Hi Dan,
Welcome back. Your hair looking great. Hope my hair looks as good as yours and Ians when it starts to get the Salt N Pepper look.
You know, with your glasses and your beard. We now know what Colnell (spelling ) Sanders ( KFC ) would have looked like with longhair ! No pun intended.
Cheers
Glinka
Hi Glinka,
Salt'n' Pepper - Don't know what you're what your talking about!!!! lol
Best wishes. Ian
It looks great!!

Your hair is looking good, DanH. Your hair care routine seems to work well for you. I have not had great success with coconut oil. It is too clingy and difficult to wash off. I see it works for you, which is good. Good update, and keep it growing.
Scott
Hi Dan, I haven't had the pleasure of seeing your earlier posts, but congratulations on some great looking hair - don't leave it too long before some more updates! Ian
Dan, your hair looks healthy and thick, and I love the curls in back. The natural color is also nice; I have always been a sucker for some salt mixed in with the pepper! :) Keep growing it!
My apologies for not remembering you from earlier times (although I do remember the "DanH" handle); but regardless, your hair looks EXCELLENT in every way -- I hope you keep on growing!!

but soon after I posted we got the call that our daughter was in labor! So we packed up and left for NC. Well, after a very difficult labor, she ended up getting a c-section. I went a long time without sleep and now I'm catching up on things.
You all are awesome! Thanks for the encouragement and compliments! I get a great chuckle out of the Col. Sanders comment! And thanks for the email Steve! I'll be here for a bit, but I'll try to keep up with the board as life gets back to normal - if there is such a thing...
