late 30's, I have light colored hair so it is hard to notice, but when I am under a fluourescent light and looking in the mirror I can really see them easily, I have many grey hairs now but they are mixed throughout
the thing about them, is it seems like the long grey hairs are more scraggly looking like they are drier or more frizzy than the hairs that are still with my natural color
I wonder with light color hair if there is a way to very lightly color just to take some of the extreme contrast out, so that the grey hairs will take on a very bit of color and the dye will not really affect the overall light brown hairs that haven't greyed yet
anyone here experimenting with colorings?
Neutral henna, which is neither neutral nor henna. But it's natural and will improve the texture of your hair while giving the grey hairs a slight yellow cast. Make sure to buy the real stuff from someplace that sells mendi-quality henna.

Late 40's here and used to get blonde hi lights every 4 months or so and that worked great to get rid of the grey's.
I don't do that anymore, I simply put Vatika in my hair, sit in the sun for a few hours then wash with shampoo and conditioner, air dry 1x per week.
No grey hairs and a lot of blonde hi lights.
I just let it happen! Grey hair is a lot better than no hair!
Best regards. Ian

You have Beautiful hair and color Ian, if I had your color I would be more than happy! Having blonde hair makes the grey a lot worse.
I was worried about damaging my hair with the salon hi lights.
Indian women I know and dated told me to try Vatika and Parachute coconut oil.
Me thinks that the henna and lemon oil in this along with 2 hrs in the sun with my hair soaked and 2 hrs in the sun drying gives my blond a light reddish color along with really bond hi lights where the grey was.
At $4.00 for 10.14 fl oz, Vatika makes my hair strong, healthy, shiny and blonde, Love It!
Thank you. I understand your situation with blonde hair, I was a dark brown till the age bug set in! I do agree with you about Vatika, it seems great for all hair types, I usually soak it in my hair the night before a shampoo.
Best wishes, Ian
You could try experimenting with the spelling. "Gray" hairs don't seem as old as "grey" ones. Hell if I know why that is.
I got my first gray hairs in my beard in 1977. I never did a thing about them, and look at me now! Yeah, they breed.

Somebody already mentioned the Neutral Henna/Cassia, which will permanently color the grey. But if you want to try something temporary, just to color the grey hairs, Revlon Roux Fanci Full Rinse has been around for decades. Some use it to cover grey in-between professional coloring. Roux is a temporary coloring conditioner. You shampoo hair as normal, and you use this in place of your regular conditioner. The hair retains the color until your next shampoo. Best if all, if you are unhappy with the results. just wash it out. You might want to try Roux, and see if you like how the grey colors.
Ideally, with dying the grey a golden blond, it will give your dark hair highlights, without altering your darker hair color. If you like the golden blond highlights Roux gives you, consider the Cassia for a more permanent, long-term solution. Cassia treatments would only need to be redone, as grey roots come in. You could use Roux between Cassia treatments. You DO NOT want to use a semi-permanent or permanent regular blond dye, because these contain peroxide, and will lighten all your hair by bleaching out your natural color. Roux Fanci Full Rinse is a temporary color, and will not damage hair with harsh chemicals.
Really???
I have a few greys that keep coming back. where can I obtain this product?
