1) Haircuts are much more expensive now and I'm
talking basic barbercuts, not even salon styles-
a basic barrshop haircut runs on average
between 12 and 18 bucks and in some areas much
more. salon prices are double or triple!
if you wear a military cut(flattop, fade, regular buzz) it would cost you more
to maintain it because of bi-weekly visits cuts than a regular short haircut which would be bi-monthly so
it's definitely an incentive to NOT get it cut at all
and you will have saved lots of money that you could use on
much more useful stuff!!
2)Let's face it Long hair just looks a lot better than
those military or barbershop cuts and the women will love
it!! many have told me that they are sick of seeing guys
with buzzed or shaved heads and wish long hair would make
a huge comeback!
3)Long hair looks much more sexy!
what is so sexy about buzzcuts or barbercuts anyway?
imho, nothing!
I go to a bar here in Tampa every Friday night to drink beer and listen to the jukebox play pool, smoke cigarettes etc. most of the beautiful girls that go there are half my age. I'm 51 but have a fairly young looking face since my hair has grown past my shoulders I have been hit on by more women than i ever had happen when I had short hair. My main motivation is not to pickup women for casual sex. I just wanted to point out that since i have grown my hair out I have had positive reaction to my hair. Now whether I have it long or short I have always been friendly towards women young and old. This statement I'm writing and is just an observation. James/Tampa.Fl
I not going to call it science but Ive gone from an 8 month dry spell to having also anytime I go out meeting new and interesting women . Maybe its that theirs a certain percentage live 25 % that are attracted to men with long hair and there is only 2 - 3 % of men who have long hair ? Of that 2 -3 % how many are available I say it just basic statistics .
Anytime some short hair man tells me to cut my hair I keep that in mind and grin ......:)
I have observed the same thing too. And just this past weekend, as my son and I were leaving his bowling league, I saw an older couple in the parking lot -- both with gray hair. The woman had short, curly hair, and the man had long thick hair halfway down his back, tailed at the nape of his neck and again 5 inches lower. (It was totally awesome!) And although they appeared to be an older married couple, my mind interpreted him to be several years younger than her. I think part of it is that American culture associates long hair with youth and vitality, and part of it is that long haired men just seem to be more comfortable with who they really are, and are not trying hard to fit into a particular mold.
LONG LIVE THE LONG HAIRS!!!
All your points why guys should just let their hair grow are brilliant.I agree with all of them hands down:)This is a list that should be engraved on every mirror in the world! That way you can confirm with your own eyes that longhair is just better my friend;)Cheers

4)Unless you're an enlisted Man why on earth would you want to wear your hair like one?-
Every Man should ask himself this when he feels compelled to take the clippers to his head while he is looking in the mirror because his hair is at that awkward stage while growing it. ;-)
Hello Dying4longhair,
I'm not sure about your second two reasons. I mean, I'd like to think that girls find me more attractive for having long hair, but I'm pretty certain that the majority of girls think the opposite. :)
Anyway, what I was going to say was that I really agree with your first reason. Before I had long hair I used to have a lass mow my head with a pair of clippers for £10 a go (every 2 months or so). Also, because my hair is so thick, most clippers that have been used on my hair have not been able to cut through painlessly. So, I was paying for a stock hair cut, that wasn't particularly pleasant to have and I didn't really think looked that great. For these reasons, I never regretted growing my hair long.
Take care,
Neil.
Responding to D4:
1) What is this "haircut" you speak of?
2) Some people, male or female, *like* to have short hair. They should not be forced to have long hair, just as no one should be forced to have short hair. However, here's something to keep in mind: the enormous number of women who went completely nuts over Orlando Bloom as Legolas, Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, and who can forget Fabio's "I caunt bah-leve it's not buttah" commercials!!!! And there are numerous other examples of long haired men driving hoards of women crazy - I mean, even the Predator's dreads were frickin' hot!!! Yes, there are women who prefer short hair on men. But obviously there are - literally - millions of women who love long hair on men.
3)Men are like cake: yummy, yummier, and yummiest. And we all know the yummiest cake has icing on top! A man's hair is the icing on his cake, and it is **sweet**! :)
Hiya!
first off, I was generalizing. I am not against people who enjoy shorter hair and choose it by their own free will.
as a matter of fact I've seen some women that look totally ~HOT~ with short hair and actually have dated such women, however when a woman get's her long hair cut off short and makes the transition back to long it's not an "issue" especially in workplaces or anywhere else for that matter, but if a Man does the same it's usually out of peer pressure or workplace dress codes. I would like to see that eradicated and if it should be up to the person to choose if they want to wear their hair long or short, regardless of sex.
hope this clears things up. ;-)
have a nice weekend!
And past a certain length you can cut your own hair!
*shrug* Some people look better with short/long/no hair, and some people look good regardless of their hair. How someone wants to wear their hair is totally their own business...even if "I" think it is unflattering. You have to find what makes you happy.
Sexy is as sexy does...in other words, being comfortable in yourself (hair, etc.) is likely to be perceived as sexier than if you are doing something not of your preference. Sure, some people will find long hair sexier regardless of any other characteristics, but let's face it, hair length is unlikely to be a predictor of success and reward in a long or short term relationship.
That said, I like long hair, on myself and others, and I certainly am not turning down the comments and attention it gains me. I am not, however, going to go around scruffy looking all the time just because that gets me even more attention...go figure.
I support the right of anyone to wear short hair if that's what they want as long as they support the freedom of others to wear their hair long.
In conclusion hair freedom should cover the wide range from extremely short/no hair to super long hair as a valid choice.
Some occupations like Firemen having short hair is mandatory for good safety reasons!
