So I'm sure you're wondering what I mean by the title of this post. I say I'm officially a long hair now because I just renewed my driver's license for another 5 years and this time I have hair down past my shoulders in the photo. So thus my official government issued ID shows me with long hair, so there's no denying it now. ;-) I'm glad to be rid of the old ID where I'd foolishly cut my hair and trimmed my beard just a month before the last photo.

That's great! In my Id I had my hair tied back, but that is quite obvious on my driver's license and health card, but not so much so on my passport..
I tend to have very few problems with it, unless at the border.

The bandana wasn't my first choice of color but it's rayon rather than cotton so it's much cooler to wear. As for summer, so far it's been either very hot or not quite so hot but very humid. Just the type of days that aren't made for long hair! The only saving grace is that I have baby fine hair so I don't have a lot of bulk to deal with.

I had an awful school ID the first time I was issued one, and it was such a relief to get my Upperclassmen one, which had a more decent picture of me (as well as long hair and a developed beard). I got flack from the stern disciplinarian, but it was totally worth it. Hope your new and improved ID brings you much happiness, as well as a renewed sense of identity.

Congratulations on the progress you have made on becoming a longhair, isnt it great being out of the 97% club and being part of the 2-3 % club . freedom is a nice state of mind.i have myself never felt so happy when i reached this landmark just as you have reached. im at 26 months from shaved head to well past the the shoulders. your being yourself is a good thing revel in it.

Awwww, why not have that as your driver license ID being it would fit right in with our post 911 world.LOL.You know, can't hide any contraband on your person there!It would be perfect for the airports too:)When they do that strip search it would be a perfect match:)Ok, ok maybe I should quit while I'm ahead.Ha,ha.
