Hey guys,
Just a quick update to let all who are interested know that the book project is rolling along nicely. A good number of initial interviews have been completed; I have a few more to conduct before beginning the process of formatting and editing. I will also be starting the "photo phase" of the process shortly, in addition to working on a number of essays that I intend to include in the book.
The responses I've received so far have been great... thanks so much to all who have participated. If you would like your story to be included in this book, please feel free to send me a message by clicking on my "highlighted" name, above. If you've already contacted me but received no reply, please accept my apologies and get in touch with me again, as it's possible that an inquiry or two has slipped through the cracks.
Thanks! :)
Val
P.S.-- I would like to go on record here and pledge that a portion of all proceeds from the sale of this work, when completed, will be donated in perpetuity to the MLHH. This website and the community that has been built around it has always amazed and impressed me by the sheer immensity of its goodwill and earnest spirit of helping others. The MLHH represents the best use of the internet I have ever seen, and I feel truly blessed to have stumbled upon it so many years ago. Thank you to everyone who helps to make it so.
...
Thanks, Venya. I'll certainly keep you all abreast of the book's progress!

Hi Val and thanks for the update. It is an honour to have been a small part of this project. I know it will be a facinating and important record of the longhair's struggles, aspirations, and beliefs and look forward to reading the finished book. Thanks for taking on the project which will benefit not only this board and its members, but those who are still finding their way. Ian
Thank you for your kind words and thoughtful contribution to this project, Ian!

Hi Val,
Thanks for that update as I'm very curious to see the finished product.Certainly it will be one of a kind as I can't imagine there will be anything else like it out there. Also that is very noble of you to consider donations to the mlhh as like you, I find the mlhh not only a great resource of information and support for us longhaired men but also a way to make new friends:)I've also had the distinct honor to meet some of them too in person.Cheers to you Val for you past and future support my friend.
Mark
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, Mark! This project wouldn't be possible without the contributions of this community... it is through the sharing of YOUR stories that other men will be helped on their own journeys to longhairdom. It is only right that whatever success the book might achieve be shared for the benefit of the MLHH.

P.S. - Please check your email, as I have sent you an additional interview question... Thanks! :)
I think mine was one which slipped through the cracks :)
Sorry, Rudy. I just sent you a message... if you'd be so kind as to reply to it, we can get the interview process rolling!
Thanks :)

Hey, I just tried to send you an email saying I'd be interested in being a part of the interview process, but the email wouldn't register because I've been on this board for less than a month and am not recognized as a regular member. Oh, well.
Steve
Hi Steve,
You've got mail :)

Hi Val, I am getting in a bit late on this. I would definitely like to be part of this book project. I have among the longest hair here and I do want to be included.
As treasurer I want to thank you for this. An endowment like this could permanently cover the cost of keeping this site operating.
Scott
Hi Scott,
You've got mail, too :) Please reply to the message via email and I'll send you the initial interview questions.
Thanks!
