My cousin is getting married next weekend. Some of you may know I have thick wavy hair, still in growing out phase.
Family(my side) has been getting on me to cut my hair but nothing severe. What does everyone here like to do for these occasions? Ponytail is out of the question. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/ideas.
Slick it back with product, think 1950's greaser.
I believe that up-dos are traditional for weddings. There's a whole industry of hair-stylists who do wedding parties.
I had a wedding to go to about two years ago. I flatly refused to get it a haircut, so i just wore it in a pony tail.
There were three men there with pony tails.
I had anotehr wedding the year before, I just braided the hair. Again I flatly refused to cut it.
If it were long enough I'd suggest just a simple low ponytail. Since it's not, I would just slick it towards the back with some kind of gel or what-have-you. Practice putting it in before the actual day of the wedding though, so you can get an idea of how much to use.
