Well Its been about a year since Ive been to a Barber , and Im real happy with the results . The girls Im hooking up with lately really are into my hair . Anayways Hair in my eyes has been a real issue lately so heres my updated photo's and how Ive dealing with that problem .
Yeah Finnally I can wear a pony tail kind of :P . Anyways its thanks to the advice Ive gotten here of not getting trims that I think Im past the awkward stage ......

looks good to me, but I can understand the awkward stage frustration. Keep it growing, it will get easier with time.
ps. How long did it take your hair to get to that length?
Im probably at around 13 months now ...... I'm just happy that I can finally tie it in the back , as long as I can keep it neat I dont get too much grief at work and now I don't need to use gel and gunk to achieve that .
